Fox News' chief political correspondent Carl Cameron's head may yet roll after he submitted a fake, insulting news story about Sen. John Kerry that was posted on FoxNews.com.
At the moment, he's gotten away with only a reprimand.
Last week, you may recall, Cameron fabricated Kerry quotes, such as: "Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!" and "I'm metrosexual - [George W. Bush] is a cowboy."
Moveon.org is putting the heat on Rupert Murdoch's network by insisting that Cameron is unfit to deliver "fair and balanced" reporting on the election.
The liberal activist group, which boasts a mailing list of more than 2.8 million people, has asked its members to demand that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes oust Cameron.
"This isn't the first time that Carl Cameron has shown his bias," said Moveon.org's Noah Winer. "He spent three minutes fawning over President Bush in an interview in 2000, bragging to him that his wife was hanging out with Bush's sister on the campaign trail."
Fox News didn't return calls for comment.
Meanwhile, small wonder young people are still having trouble voting. Drew Carey is not even going to bother to pull a lever come Nov. 2.
Why? The comic feels the country is run by powerful groups that control whatever candidate he might vote for. "Quit pretending that it matters, would you? Can you vote for all the nefarious cabals that really run the world? No. So f- it," Carey told Reason magazine.
And Penn Gillette told the mag the "moral thing" is not to vote, adding: "I'm undecided (always the stupidest position)." But Gillette noted that a friend would give him 100 bucks if he votes for George Bush, so he might do that. Duh.
Thankfully, Jake Gyllenhaal hasn't lost his passion. "Politics is getting sexier to young people," he told us at Monday night's ACLU benefit. "But voter registration forms need to be places where young people are going to see them."

Yes it was Cameron. See my post #60. Wrote it before seeing your post.
Considering the nature of the "crime", Rather should be fired and Cameron should be told not to do that again. The punishment should fit the crime.
Thanks, I'm glad I haven't been "saluting" at the wrong guy for four years now.
It should, but often does not. I don't think Rather will be fired even though he should be.

Subject: Media Corps: Meet the Press Gets the Message
Media Corps member,
Congratulations to everyone who called or e-mailed Tim Russert this morning. After hearing from over 800 of you in a few hours, NBC's Meet the Press contacted us to discuss William Safire's untrue comments on Sunday. They got the message!
Unless you saw the show and have other concerns to address, you can refrain from calling or e-mailing Meet the Press about this issue.
Again, congratulations. This really works.
Sincerely,
--Noah T. Winer

Have they called the world court yet? I think he may just be a war criminal for this one! The UN must get involved!!! /sarcasm
Mr. WINER? LOL!
I think we can help keep Carl RIGHT WHERE HE IS!!! They are still angry at Fox News because they actually have VIEWERS! You will also notice that Kerry's "people" appear on Fox all the time!
Roger Ailes' inaction comes as no surprise to those familiar with his background. Before launching Fox News, Ailes built his career as a media shark for Republican presidential candidates. His dirty tricks helped put Nixon, Reagan, and the elder Bush in the White House. It's time for Ailes' to call off his attack dogs.
Demand Roger Ailes fire Carl Cameron for politically-biased reporting:
Roger Ailes

Thank you, for all that you do.

I don't think he should be fired for this.
Chrissy Mathews and Brian Williams did something far worst by saying VP Cheney had stated that Saddam was directly tied to 9/11 when Cheney said no such thing. There should be a campaign to have GE (NBC's parent)remove Mathews and Williams from NBC News.
bttt
This is what the Left does: they trump up some charge and then demand that the person be fired. However, they never behave the same way when it's one of their own. By my count, they've demanded the resignation of every Bush cabinet member so far except Powell -- I know they demanded Cheney resign, Rumsfeld resign, how many Treasury secretaries now, they've been after Rove and Card. They demanded Lott's resignation but stayed quiet about Dodd.
And the Republicans give in all the time. The time has come for the Republicans to play the same hardball back. The only reason that the Left makes these charges (true or not, of great importance or little importance) is that they know the Right will react.
It's time to just ignore the noise and moveon.

99% of the Main Stream Media show their bias to the liberal side. If America votes kerry into office, all I have to say is they will get what they voted for and 100% more B.S and open the door for the terrorist.
Terrorist want Kerry to win, they know he will invite them over for a tea party. Hollywood wants it because they know their filth will be welcome to come into your homes and young kids minds. God Help us all if Amerians are as stupid as half of them apprear to be.
LOL!
Well that's what FOX gets for making Carl cover the Kerry campaign. I don't know how he can stand it.
Campaign Carl is fair, balanced, and thorough. I enjoy his reports.
FOX would be insane to fire him over such a trivial matter.
