My first Topic Post, I hope I did OK. The Antigunners are at it again and we had better pay attention. They have America in mind and if you think it's only guns they want then look out.
In the last poll of military officers, 90% identified themselves as either "Republican or conservative."
"If it is time to bury them, then it is probably past due time to put them to use."
This is the biggest bunch of bullcrap ever. The UN has no authority over the US Constitution. If they tried that, they would be signing their own removal from US soil.
Whoops, didn't you know? All treaty law superceeds the Constitution. (Not sarcasm)
Ha ha, well I suppose if you didn't bury your guns, you'd have to bury something else then if they came a'calling.
Whomever signs said executive order would be buried before my guns or me.
Long before date x comes to pass.
All the cops in urban and suburban areas would immediately confiscate. It's a matter of no paycheck or a promotion which do you think they would choose?
Rural areas are a different story, but the a ATF and FBI would gear up with the military to go after citizens here and your locals can't protect you. Remember treaty law superceeds constitution and posse commitatus.
And how many of the military and feds have family or other ties that they could afford to sacrifice to go through with this? They'd better make sure they're "in" with the system or they'll never be able to turn their backs on their dissenting parents, siblings and cousins again.
They won't have time to notice anything, I'm afraid. If the Nazis want the guns, they will have to die to get them.
Heck, the UN won't stay in Iraq when 20 - 30 of their people are killed, just think what would happen here. They would lose 100s a day and that would just be in the cities.
RE: Your tag line: "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country."
True.
Why do you question yourself? "I don't know"..
You DO know. "Any treaty that conflicts with the Constitution is not binding. No one has the authority to "ban guns", here." Insightful.
You are spot on. Rock on!
I don't think they would be too worried. Look at Lon Horuchi for example: cold blooded murder of a innocent woman in an obvious setup scenario for the purpose of murder. Idaho and the county attempted to try him for murder and Fed maneuvering protected him. Any of his family or friends could have plugged him before or after his indictment. Nobody did, he went on to shoot more unarmed people at Waco where the military helped.
No, these guys are safe among their own and they know it. If their bosses can get rid of the 2A on a treaty pretext, a LOT of people are going to die, but I don't think there will be appreciable fragging in the ranks. Besides, they may be under UN command and subject to the international criminal court, thats what it's there for.
Let's do some pessimistic math:
If we have a one-to-one kill ratio with the confiscators...
...they will run out of LEO's before we run out of patriots. Even if it's a Waco-type slaughter, IF all members are combatants and take at least ONE JBT with them (a-la' the booby-trap-grenade-under-the-body-trick made popular by Red Dawn), eventually the attrition of the confiscators will overrun their training programs. That, and the best shooters and LE types will no longer desire to go into that line of work unless they got paid more. Such behavior on the part of the government would be both financial and logistical suicide.
That being said, While I'm getting on in years and not looking forward to dying, I'm also not looking forward to LIVING in a Tyranny, and would rather die on my feet a free man.
Rules 223 and 308 may need to be applied.
So what if they come for you alone? Take one out on your way to Heaven so you can stand before God and tell him you did your part.
Eventually, enough of these incidents will occur that the mainstream media will report at least one or two...
...and that, brothers and sisters, is when the flag goes up.
Where will you be?
I'll probably already be worm food, so you'll be on your own then.
Molon Labe - Pronounced "Mo-lone La-veh" and means "Come Get Them!"
Quoted from Thefiringline.com:
"Two little words. With these two words, two concepts were verbalized that have lived for nearly two and a half Millennia. They signify and characterize both the heart of the Warrior, and the indomitable spirit of mankind. From the ancient Greek, they are the reply of the Spartan General-King Leonidas to Xerxes, the Persian Emperor who came with 600,000 of the fiercest fighting troops in the world to conquer and invade little Greece, then the center and birthplace of civilization as we know it. When Xerxes offered to spare the lives of Leonidas, his 300 personal bodyguards and a handful of Thebans and others who volunteered to defend their country, if they would lay down their arms, Leonidas shouted these two words back.
Molon Labe! (mo-lone lah-veh)
They mean, Come and get them! They live on today as the most notable quote in military history. And so began the classic example of courage and valor in its dismissal of overwhelming superiority of numbers, wherein the heart and spirit of brave men overcame insuperable odds. Today, there lies a plaque dedicated to these heroes all at the site. It reads: Go tell the Spartans, travelers passing by, that here, obedient to their laws we lie.
We would do well to emulate those brave Spartans, who found a cause more dear to them than life itself.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest thing: The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war is worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares about more than his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
--John Stuart Mill
Are we men of principle and freedom? Or are we the miserable creatures who must be protected by those better than us?
We, and we each other alone, may answer that question, alone with ourselves at night.
I know my answer. Do you?

I don't like doing pessimistic math.
When they come, it will be at night when you are sleeping. They won't knock, a flash grenade or worse will wake you. If you move in the slightest, a fully automatic burst from an mp-5 or m-16 will kill you. The pornographer newspaper editor will congratulate the pedophile prosecutor for the smoothness of his planned raid. The 9mm ammo found at your residence will confirm your Nazi/white supremicist connections.
Remember this: Waco was set up as a raid to be observed by the media at an ATF setup and provided communications center for that media. The purpose was to garner increased funding for ATF whose budget was currently under consideration in congress. ATF STAGED A SHOW FOR THE MEDIA, IT JUST DIDN'T GO ACCORDING TO THEIR PLAN. Did the media report this? Not one illegal weapon was ever proven to exist at Waco. Did the media report this? Notice the difference between this and the incessant reporting of no WMD's in Iraq. You will get no help from the media.
Stalin killed 20 million Russians, while the New York Times knew and painted life a a safe workers paradise there. It is okay with the media for any liberal socialist/communist jackboot government to kill any gunowner or used-to-be gunowner, but not Ted Bundy.
Like you, I'll fight, if I can catch 'em sneaking up on me. Otherwise I'll just be murdered.
I don't like doing pessimistic math any more than you do.
And sadly, your assessment is quite accurate.
HOWEVER, if a bunch of poorly-armed (but at least ARMED) jews could hold off the Wehrmacht for ANY length of time in the Warsaw Ghetto, imagine what some patriots with modern weapons might do?
Pessimistic Math. Optimistic Patriot Count.
Like you, I will most likely be murdered in my sleep.
But IF I AM NOT, at least you and I still have the means to resist. And there are many more others just like us, for whom being an American means dying on your feet a free man, even though you're staring death straight in the face and you know it.
The Beaches of Normandy and other no-way-to-go-but-right-at-the-enemy battles attest to the strange intestinal fortitude of our fathers and grandfathers. Let us not fail them.
