Dear Rodney,
Contrary to what you may have believed, you did get a lot a respect. Thanks for the laughs.
Rest in peace.

Rodney had a way of reflecting all the nasty thoughts you had but were always afraid to say them.

Just a bump so Rodney can get the respect he deserves against the VP debate threads. Gonna miss him....

He was the funniest standup comic who ever lived.
We are all diminished by his passing.
Rodney, I respected you.

Actually 3, if you count Gordon Cooper. Not in show biz, but definitely a celebrity.

Such a waste. I've always wondered why he wasn't making films all the time, good films, not The Ladybugs. The man was just plain funny and all we've got is a handful of films, too many of them crap.

Actually 3, if you count Gordon Cooper. Not in show biz, but definitely a celebrity. What's the time limit for "going in threes"? If two pass and a week goes by before the next, does that count? Two weeks? Three? What if another celebrity dies tomorrow? Do we say "gee, this time they went in fours" or have we just started our next set of three?
Questions, questions...

In memory, I'm going to watch my DVD of "Back To School". Hot tub scene: "What's your major?" "Early American Literature." "Great! Maybe you can help me straighten out my Longfellow."

One by one - the classic comedians are passing. The current generation just doesn't have the depth or intellegence as guys like Rodney, Milton Berle, etc. And never will as long as all they can do is cuss.
So long to a legend.
