i still say it could be a text pager device - they have some very small one-line of scrolling text pagers that could easily be used to send messages to him.

Thank you MM, for your continued work to expose this Cheating by Kerry in Debate #1.
I also have examined the Low Res tapes over and over again. I also saw a Light colored item which I believe are Notes or talking points which he unfolded and spread on the deck of the podium. Kerry then immediately started writing or faking that he was writing before the first question.
We expel Cadets from the Air Force Academy for this type of Cheating on tests. Certainly cheating on the Election For President of the United States is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than a test at the Academy!

Please call the Commission on Presidential Debates.
They were in charge of running the debate and seeing the rules were enforced. I called them this morning and urged them to investigate.
Their website is www.debates.org can't find an email there but they have a letter pdf to the campaigns with their address

OBJECT 2 appears to be a folded sheet or sheets of light-colored paper. It is DEFINITELY rectangular. It is DEFINITELY light-colored. And it is DEFINITELY distinct and separate from OBJECT 1. Could it not have been a handkerchief? Even if Kerry had notes and, thus, cheated, what are we - what is anyone - supposed to do about it?
I think it's more likely Lehrer pre-fed him the questions.

We gotta pick battles there is at least a chance of winning. This ain't one.Agree with the first sentence. Disagree with the second. There is evidence. That means the liberals already lost.

Materials provided by the debaters was supposed to be placed on the podium by the debate committee. That's the rule that appears to have been ignored by sKerry. He was counting on the fact that nothing would be done about it. That appears to be the case.

They cheated, and nothing will happen here. I bet the next time, Kerry will be scrutinized like nobody's business though. Cameras will be looking at his hands and ears VERY carefully.
Exactly! Look for Monsieur Kerrrreeeeeeeee to ask to be excused for a quick trip to the Loo. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

I won't believe fox until I see the video. Where is the 99% proof pic? They were slow on the Swift vet story and Rathergate. Fox is suspect just like the rest of the Media.
If they have the proof why not post it? It would be a major story for them. They could show how fair and balanced they are, coming to Kerry's defense and all.

What happens if the high res film shows Kerry had a piece of paper? The Kerry people will say it was a tissue. If the high res film proves it wasn't a tissue, Kerry will claim it was a dry cleaning tag.
In order for it to make any difference, there'd need to be solid proof of what the paper contained. I don't see any way we will ever know the truth.

Agree totally; do not understand what is going on here; it is clear - to those that can see - that Kerry's left hand is not holding a pen. Of course, given the event in it's entirety; I think Kerry cheated before he got on that stage.
That said; the very least they can do is properly identify what happened here.
I mean; we do not even hear anymore about Sandy Berger; all is quiet re Rather's memo; and the 'wall of silence' continues to protect the Liberals; Liberals who continually lie; cheat, steal. . .just do whatEVER it takes to insure they get ahead.
I am sick of the way their transgressions are excused - with a 'move on folks' or worse; 'move on you lying conspiracy theorists'. . .they represent the worst case of broken values; yet they are celebrated.

I think they provided the candidates with paper at the podiumThat would make sense, but wouldn't explain what he took out of his jacket.

It being paper would be enough for some people. This election hinges on a few undecided people. The American people do not like liars and cheats. It may be enough to convince just a few people to vote against Kerry.

Wasn't he taking notes during the debate? If he only had a pen, then he was writing directly on the podium. Since I doubt that was the case, I would deduce he was writing on paper.
I believe that the "Rules", agreed to by both parties, said that they could have paper and pens or pencils placed on the Podium for them, but that nothing was to be brought with them.
