Today President Bush made history in Mansfield, Ohio.
He was the first sitting President to visit this city since Woodrow Wilson made a train stop in 1916, and it made us PROUD! It was the second of three stops on a bus tour through Ohio, part of what he called "quality time" in our state!
The town hall forum entitled "Focus on Ownership" was held at the historic Renaissance Theatre, and the central topic was the economy. Four local citizens told stories of how the Bush economy and tax policy has helped their lives and our local economy.
There was only room for 1,400 people in the theatre, and thousands were turned away, but those who were there are pumped up and ready to deliver Richland County and the state of Ohio to President Bush in November!
On the Renaissance....
Inside the theatre from where we were sitting on the stage.....
The best shot I got on my camera........it's tough to take good pictures from the back of someone!
Listening to one of the panelists.....
Thank you for turning around, Mr. President! (He told us to behave ourselves!)
More coming......
Great shots! I look forward to more!
You don't know how close I came to calling in sick today!
WOW! You really did have GREAT seats!!!
Congratulations! I used to work for Don Barr, Inc. in Lexington, so I am familiar with the town. What a treat this must have been for you.
Well, I hope you did behave yourself. LOL. It would be hard to do. Can't wait for the rest.
This was a GREAT exchange between the very warm and friendly President and new homeowner, Joanna Williams.....
OK.......half the ohioWfamily is in this photo........look around the guy with the white beard.....he's Grant Milliron, a FANTASTIC Christian entrepreneur who really pumped the President's economic policies....
Note the handsome young man smiling at the President........
I just kept missing the front of his face!
Saying good-bye to a cheering crowd.......Mike Oxley's in this pic....
We didn't get to shake his hand or talk with him (and no kiss.......), but I did manage to get his autograph on one of my sketches of him! Yesssss!!!!
GREAT time! GREAT President!!
WHAT A DAY PING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know if that counts as behaving myself or not. :o)
Here's to GW winning Ohio!!
We had another one with us, but don't have those pics yet.
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping that W will make it back to NM before the election.
Our daughter REALLY wanted to miss her soccer game and be there, but she did the right thing too. :o)
WOW.....what great pics!!...were you misbehavin?
Nice!
We were whoopin and hollerin a lot. ;o)
Cool! My wife is from nearby Ashland. I've been to the Mansfield Olive Garden many a time.
WOW! Whatta thrill and you did a great job with the camera!
Was the crowd enthusiastic? Was he pumped? What a downer for him to have to be worried about these debates with a serial liar and freakin' peacenik.
God Bless this good man....and you too, O!
Great day..Thank you for sharing it!
