My wife and I had a great time FReepin, the FReep out of Michael Freaking Moore. That was the first time my wife has ever done anything like that. She's the quiet type, doesn't like to draw attention to herself. She was surprised at how verbally confrontational it gets on a FReep. But she enjoyed being there. She even gave one 23yr old kid a piece of her mind. This tree hugger was trashing Bush spewing KoolAid all over the place. She could only take so much and she was (politely) giving this guy an education.
While Roger was talking with our friend from the Viet Nam Vets,he made me angry. He was defending Kerry's war record or something stupid like that and I couldn't help myself. I pointed to Chieftain with my sign and I said "Do you see this man, he's no war criminal and he didn't deserve to be labeled one."
We had a guy there that proved Kerry should not have the chance to Run for office. My wife was amazed when this guy started talking about how the Constitution forbade people like Kerry to run for office. And when he said "I have a copy of the Constitution in my truck I'll go get it." she couldn't believe there were people out there that carried copies of the Constitution around with them. I told her FReepers don't play around that they have the facts to back up what they say.
Later I had the opportunity to talk with Roger Thomas one on one. Let me tell you the sad part here. His son was at the PENTAGON when it was hit by the airplane driven by the Islamic terrorists extremists. He was not hurt but was one of those who removed the bodies of those killed inside. Roger described his son removing bodies in pieces. He said his son is too close to Bush and that he is fighting in Iraq as we speak. It was sad. Roger said his son didn't agree with his views but understood. At this point I had to tell Roger what I thought was the truth. I said "Roger you're not supporting your son and you should be ashamed of yourself." Roger know that John Kerry should not be President but fears Bush more than Kerry.
We could tell from the reactions we were getting that we made the Dummycrats uncomfortable. Usually at some point a few will decide to take the low road. A young female college student protesting with us had a lit cigarette flicked at her from a passing car. She's the one with the No MOORE Lies, poster.
All in all we had a great time.

The Daughters of the American Revolution have nice pocket sized copies that they give out to immigrants studying for their citizenship tests. This was one of the few political events I have been to that didn't have any Shiny New Americans.

I've found it to be EXTREMELY useful. Whip that sucker out and say "Show me where it says the federal government can do that!" This is generaly followed by a blank stare.
I am of the opinion that it should be taught is high school, the Bill of Rights at a minimum.
