You know, my husband is really making me depressed. He is saying Bush is losing this debate.
Your husband must be talking to my husband. He keeps coming downstairs and filling the room with doom and gloom.
Bush has lost the first half of this debate, but is now kicking some A. he is calming down and really doing better. Kerry is talkikng about silly stuff like ...welll he's so boring I forgot.
W needs to watch his face though-he looks condescending and Kerry looks more respectful.
W can pull this out, but I am afraid that the first few minutes is what people will judge him on then turn the channel.
W talks in very clear terms. He is straightforward- he just needs to drop the tone and get more conversational and less defensive.
Think about this a bit... two days ago, who are you going to remember? The President admitting things are tough? or sKerry who is making silly simple opposition statements?
I left the family room where the TV is because I could not handle it anymore. Your husband has a point.
But then I also thought that Kerry had won the debate 30 years ago against John O'Neill when other people at FR thought that Kerry had lost it. I guess it's a matter of perception.
