Kerry's attacks are nothing new. You'd think Bush would have snappy answers to them.
Pretty much as I see it (I just tuned in). Kerry is a "nagger" - who of course just now mentioned Vietnam! - Bush is missing some easy target shots.
Bush got Kerry on the 6th question. 4-2 Bush.
Ironically, President Bush's father, George Herbert Walker Bush, warned against the folly of invading and occupying Iraq. Listen to this. On February 28, 1999, speaking to a group of Desert Storm veterans at Fort Myer, VA, former President Bush said:
Had we gone into Baghdad--we could have done it, you guys could have done it, you could have been there in 48 hours--and then what?
The first President Bush continued:
Whose life would be on my hands as the Commander in Chief because I, unilaterally, went beyond international law, went beyond the stated mission, and said we're going to show our macho? We're going into Baghdad. We're going to be an occupying power--America in an Arab land--with no allies at our side. It would have been disastrous.
That is the first President Bush. That is not me. That is an exact quote from the first President Bush, 1999. I would say to this President: You do not have to listen to us, just listen to your father. He would have told you what you are getting into in Iraq.

When Kerry said 'help is on the way', I was lik - gag me with a shovel
If GW continues the subtle attacks on Kerry's flipflops, that gets Kerry flustered and off his memorized stump speech rhetoric.
I've thought from the start -- this debate will not change anybody's vote. Which is good -- considering W is in the lead!
Kerry accuses Bush of wanting to change the rules when he asks to respond (something Kerry has done a couple times already).
Talking about the 87 billion. "I made a mistake when I talk about that but the president made a mistake by invading Iraq. Which is worse?" (My note: Lame clean up)
He brings up Vietnam about 3 or 4 times over the last few times. Lehrer now tosses to him how long ago he asked "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake".

The New York SUBWAYS weren't closed for the RNC. The Boston trains were closed down for the DNC, though.
Watch Kerry. He is speaking to Jim Lehrer. Looking to his right. He has never looked at the camera.
President Bush, however, is speaking to America by looking right into the TV Camera.
