That was a fantastic link you gave. It's exactly what I believed Kerry did tonight. He BS's his way through the entire debate with lies compounded and supported with other lies, hoping beyond hope nobody would look into his "facts", but like I said before, the bloggers will not be fooled. They are bringing down a huge news network See-BS, and now they will tear Kerry's remarks to shreds like it is a fraudulent Bush Memo because that's exactly what Kerry presented to the American people only it was constructed with lie after lie after lies.

Greta should stick with analyzing the Peterson trial.

Yes.
I remember reading a story about teh "perception" of who won a debate. The gist is that that perception is open to dramatic changing.

bush won because soccer mommies know their kids are safer because of him.

and they know kerry wants france's permission to protect our kids from being murdered on their own playgrounds while at school...

kerry wants global permission to act in our own self defense.

and while he may be a slicker debator tonight...
he may have even won, as far as technical debate scoring goes, but when it comes to getting the message out as to WHO is gonna protect our babies and WHO intends to let the French serve them on a bun to islamists with heinz ketchup on a playground sometime next year... KERRY F"D himself but good.

Kerry wants jacques permission to protect american interests.
And ALL americans who heard that, and know what it means... made their decision final tonight.

slick words, do not a firm ship of state run.

but firm actions and focussed resolve do.
bush's repittious stuttering of the same phrase "hard work" was telling. He is every bit as focussed on this task now, as he was on 9-11.

Kerry made it clear, he wants to form committees of international socialists to get permission and advice on how to defend our nation. But America knows, that France and Germany do NOT a coalition make.

They didn't see it in 1992 so what makes you think they'll see through it anymore clearly today?

Shock at the Dims breaking the rules is akin to shock at a cow farting in the meadow. We KNOW they will break the "rules" at every opportunity. The question is, when will we get over being "shocked" and start kicking them in the groin?

"Yeah you're right... it doesn't change the fact that you are a defeatist and have no confidence in our President."

---Perhaps I'm just gun shy having been so very disappointed in 1992 by believing that people will vote for the right guy the good guy. Then having to live through 8 years of Clinton. I am honestly not a defeatist and I have every confidence in Bush. My gut tells me we're in trouble.

Just being honest

What about Kerry's plan to send nuclear fuel to the mullahs in Iran?

Maybe Bush was advised not to go for Kerry's jugular for "focus group reasons". Who knows.
>>
Perhaps, but as you say "who knows".
What I do know is, tonight's "debate" was just one part of a long process. In and of itself, it's not that significant. No one who is committed to either candidate is going to change their vote because of this debate, or any of the others to come. There are not that many uncommitted and Kerry needs most if not all of them. There are most likely a lot more tricks and surprises from both sides coming. Something that I think works in Bush's favor in the next few weeks is the left has been so outrageous for the past 5 years calling Bush Hitler, in bed with big oil, in bed with Saudi Arabia, etc. that many folks have become skeptical of, or numb to, their accusations. They call Bush the most vile of names and ascribe the most vile of motives then as proof they provide questionable documents suggesting he didn't show up to turn his head and cough.

Here is the final take from the Kerry Spot:

THREE PREDICTIONS [09/30 10:57 PM]

Overall thought: Compared to past debates, like Gore's sighing and "lockbox", the Clinton-Dole snoozers in 1996, and Perot's nuttiness in 1992, this was a great back-and-forth debate. Two guys who just see the world completely differently, got up there, and each guy confidently made his case.

Prediction One: The Kerry camp will come out of this high-fiving, convinced their man did no worse than a draw on a debate that was supposed to be Bush's best area. They probably feared Bush was going to put this race away tonight, and so far there's not much sign he did.

Prediction Two: The Bushies will be a little down. Every time Kerry opened his mouth, conservatives thought of the eight different responses and attacks that they wanted to see, and Bush mostly didn't use them. Bush focused almost entirely on principles tonight, not policies.

Prediction Three: Here's my shocker: No bounce for either side out of this. This evening's comments just reinforced the messages that came out of each party's convention. Of course, Kerry got no convention bounce, while Bush got a fairly solid convention bounce, so maybe he'll get a little bump.

But my sense is that in the coming polls, Bush retains his lead, outside the margin of error, in the mid-to-high single digits.

"And please, give the American public an iota of credit to be able to recognize BS when they see it" ---They didn't see it in 1992 so what makes you think they'll see through it anymore clearly today?

Well for one, John Kerry is no Bill Clinton. Some would call that a complement, but if you're the Democratic Presidential Nominee, its a handicap. You gotta have charm and style--two traits that are completely lacking in John Kerry. And on top of that, he's not likable. Even fellow libs can't stand the son of a bitch--pardon my French.

I think he was overwhelmed with exasperation, not expecting all of the lies. He wasn't speaking to the base tonight, we have to remember that.

Bush wasn't good. He should have did what Zell Miller did.
Bush should have mentioned while Reagan was winning the cold war, Kerry opposed so many military weapons Reagan proposed. This is what made Zell's speech so good.
He mentioned every military bill Kerry opposed while Reagan was winning the cold war. I cant believe none of Bush's advisors told him to mention this.
The crazy part, Kerry tried to compare himself to Reagan.
Someone tell Bush to mention these facts.

MAny people thought that Lincoln's famous "gettysburg address" was a terrible speech until further reflection.

If it is true that kerry suggested that nuclear fuel be sold to iran then his goose is cooked.

"President Bush seemed annoyed because Kerry was annoying!!"

I actually find it somewhat refreshing that Bush expressed how he was feeling. I felt the same way.
