I believe that if you didn't know Kerry is a scumbag that changes his position every ten minutes, Kerry is beating Bush in the debate. (unfortunate to say)

Is Bush ill tonight? Slouching on the podium, has a bit of nervousness to him, stuttering alot. I think he may be sick.

Bush listed what he likes about Kerry, and Kerry responds that he shares Bush's beliefs. What a tool.
"He likes me and I like me too."

Agreed. If we're hearing dissent here, Bush will get slammed in the press.

This debate isn't really going to change anyone's mind, in my opinion. Both Bush and Kerry are basically, well, Bush and Kerry. You either support the President and his leadership or you don't. I support the President, nothing that happens in these debates will change that, and I don't think it will for most people realistically.
I also think that when those undecideds get in that booth and they start thinking about 9/11 and terrorism, most of them will vote for Bush. Unless they want to see the U.S. kowtowing to the U.N. and kissing the world's ass. Personally, I don't.

"I won't change my core values because of politics, because of pressure." YES. This is the President I know and love. Go gettem, Mr. President.

I don't think this debate will make up anyones mind other than a moron or someone who doesn't know anything about what is going on and those are voting for Kerry anyway. this debate is a draw.

kerry is a fact man. that is what makes him look good. he is like a computer that simply figures out the issue category and spits out negative facts relating to it.

however, he has no output on what his actions will be plus of course, he is lying through his teeth.

bush--you need more facts. you need to say all the accomplishments of this war and administration and have said nothing about it.

I think Bush is doing just fine. He's not "going after Kerry" possibly because he's allowing Kerry to come off as confrontational. Kerry nitpicks the President, Bush just does his job... VERY well.

My big concern are the people out there (undecideds) who watched only the first 1/2 hour and saw Kerry doing better than expected.

My wife thinks Bush is doing well, but I've turned it off.

Bush couldn't do worse if he had planned to do worse.

And I love this man like a brother.

This is definitely going to help Kerry. Bush can recover, but another performance like this, and he's dead.

It's true; DU trolls would never say anything negative. Those folks here who are negative -- let's give most of them the benefit of the doubt -- are understandably concerned. But you really have to wonder if they are watching the same debate.

Exactly. Bush let Kerry get away with that and the president should have had some of it memorized to respond. He HAD to know what was coming and missed some opportunities.
