There have been several "live threads" posted today regarding the debate starting early this morning. Let's make this the official thread.
FR Live Thread: Bush Kerry - First Debate - Thread 2 - Here we go!
Kerry DOES personify an old Texan sayin '20 lbs. of bullshit in a 10 lb. sack'.
Last night in here in Nashville, Nancy Griffith a has-been folk artist and some of her "elite" friends in the Music Row Democrats (LA and NY rejects)sponsored a Kerry-oke fundraiser at The Trap. The Trap is owned by George Strait's manager, a die hard member of the GOP, Erv Woolsey.
The show was booked by somebody low on the foodchain that worked there. When Erv found out what was booked in his club, He went ballistic,told the organizers they couldn't use his club.
Ms. Griffith, being the "C word" she is, threatened to sue because ads had been in the papers, on radio, free speech yada, yada, yada...
Long story short,All the tables and chairs were removed from the club.The kitchen didn't open and no outside catering was allowed.
Knowing Erv like I do, I wouldn't be surprised if he odered them not to stock the bar beffore the event,just to p*ss them of!
...just thought y'all might find humor in something you might not have heard about otherwise.

You can tell Mr. Baker got the best of the Kerry campaign, by all the medias whining about the debate rules. I don't know what they are so heated up about, when did rules mean anything to them.
The prayerful bow Kerry does sends me into involuntary retches.

Father in heaven we ask you to over shadow W with your wisdom, that any dirty tricks his evil enemies will try to pull on the debate tonight will backfire on Kerry. Give him an extra blessing of favor with the people, Lord. Bless W, Lord, bless him, bless him....you said Lord, " if two or more are gathered in my name, so shall I be in the be in your presence", surely there are more than two here asking you to bless our president with wisdom and favor...IN JESUS name, Amen!
