So what are the drinking game rules. Are we taking a shot for every Vietnam mention?

If politics is a bloodsport, the Swiftvets have Kerry hemorrhaging. He may not have a career at all after this is finished. I am struck that he is hurt and flailing. Wow this will be like watching good mixed martial arts.

"Alright, so what is everyone drinking tonight?

Vodka tonics, here. I've all ready had 2 and there's still over an hour to go before game time. Nerves here, too!

How can the sheeple not see the difference in these two men?

I'll never understand this.

I'll be very surprised if he brings up Vietnam, but I hope he does

Isn't that an amazing development?! Vietnam was going to be the foundation of his campaign. He dreamed of the moment in the debates when he could throw his heroism in Dubya's face, just like he did with Weld.

And then came the SwiftVets. They've provided an invaluable service.

The Kerry team argued about the lights on the podiums, even though the lights were in the rules. I guess they were for the lights before they were against them.

Paul Begala just said that he didn't think speaking about Vietnam and the quagmire that happened 35 years ago will come up tonight. HA

I hope he just rambles and rambles and rambles.

In fact, I'm hoping he's finishing a few beers right about now. I'd love to see a replay of the speech he gave right after the President's acceptance speech.

I'm so confused. I'm worried about the draft, assault weapons, world opinion, midnight basketball, the cycle of violence in Iraq, the plight of the homeless, Haliburton, and ring around the collar. I just can't decide. I really need to watch this debate so I can make up my mind.

I feel your pain. The only reason I would bother watching this prepackaged festival of banality is to see if during the debate, Kerry begins to peel off his orange skin to reveal a fork-tongued Reptilian space-alien underneath. Now that would be worth watching....

I was looking for the dopiest Kerry photo the other day on Yahoo! News and I found that one. Saved it to my "file drop" for posterity. LOL

I was listening to O'Reilly on the radio today and he was getting all over Limbaugh. Saying that "the President could walk in to the debate tonite falling down drunk and Limbaugh would STILL say he won the debate..."

Bill...Bill...Bill rule number one of radio...NEVER...eeeeeever mention the competition on your show.

Especially when the competition is kicking your butt!

And I'm hoping...PRAYING that when sKerry starts in about how Pres. Bush has "blown it in Iraq"...either the President or Lerher will simply ask sKerry "well Sen. Kerry, if the current Iraq policy is as wrong as you claim, what is YOUR plan?"

I'm fired up! I've been counting the days to this debate since the date was announced. I can't wait for 9PM.

Me too ! Election year to me seems like the NFL playoffs only unlike the playoffs, the elections are always important !

John Kerry scheduled a manicure today.

Honest to God.

If that doesn't show a stark contrast between the two candidates, I don't know what doesn't. President Bush visited with hurricane victims, Kerry gets a manicure. It's almost a "let them eat cake" attitude. Hope the stark differences come across LOUD and CLEAR.
