All part of Karl Rove's plot to win Washington.. Distract the people with a volcano and then rig the polls.

Hurricanes in Florida, earth quake in California and now this? This proves it -- Bush's fault! (sarcasm)

Helen Could Come To Life

I though Helen Thomas was a fossil and incapable of returning to life.

Cheetah,

With the Freeping Paintshop-aratzzi, I though this was about a picture of Helen Thomas with Smoke and Lava coming out of her head.....

Na, with Paintshop-Pro and like programs it can't happen.....

The Dems will blame Bush. It is to distract attention from the debates.

He's right -- info's been out a few hours.

But I welcome any and all serious observations on the situation.

Getting kind of tired of "Bush's fault" jokes after 20 threads.

Did you read the article? On a scale of 1 t0 10 (with 10 being the previous eruption at Mt. St. Helen's), scientists are predicting this will be a "1".

i.e., the headline should read, "Indigestion at Mt. St. Helen's"

Y'know, I have to confess that I'm of two minds. I hope Mt. St. Helens doesn't erupt, because of the destruction that would visit on the innocent people living nearby.

On the other hand, volcanoes blowing up are cool!

FWIW, I have the same problem with hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc...

Explosion at St. Helens possible within days

I checked the Cascades Volcano Observatory page; no new updates there. VolcanoCam is socked in by fog.
