I was having an argument with another FReeper about how many of the old timers were still around. I tell people there is a FReeper vsyndrome and that most of them are still around, they just don't post much anymore.

I remember very clearly, at the MFJ, when people realized that OWK was there. It was in the lobby, that first night, and all of a sudden, people started looking at this guy, who stook there -- all alone -- and just kinda smiled. He looked like a nice guy - who realized the stir he caused!

About the cleanup at the MFJ. I was on the 'butt and match pick-up brigade'. Freepers are smokers!!!

I remember a comment from a policeman who couldn't believe how clean the place was.

We set a standard that is followed to this day.
