I was having an argument with another FReeper about how many of the old timers were still around. I tell people there is a FReeper vsyndrome and that most of them are still around, they just don't post much anymore.

Waiting for Bill Barclay, Roger Schultz and Deb to check in What ever happened to Michael Gallutia and Bev Sprecht? I loved reading their analysis...always well thought out and convincing arguments.

Our first telephone number was 2736. :-) I have a hot pad, printed up as an advertising item for my parents' business that urges you to "Phone 35".
And, of course, at the same time, my grandmother was on a party line. I don't remember the ringing scheme, but I am certain I knew it at the time.
