Based at Prairie Chapel Ranch, the president is preparing for the first debate with the sometime Senator, John Kerry, this Thursday, and campaigning.
SATURDAY: In his weekly radio address, President Bush said, "This week, I was honored to welcome the Prime Minister of a free and sovereign Iraq to the White House."
SUNDAY: President Bush said he had no regrets about his 'Mission Accomplished' speech on Iraq in May 2003 and would do it all over again if he had the chance, according to excerpts from an television interview released on September 26. As Vietnam veteran Tommy Franks wrote in American Soldier, it was Franks' idea, and the USS Abraham Lincoln was the unapologized-for chosen format, to find a way to acknowledge our troops' overwhelming success in toppling the Hussein regime in a matter of weeks.
TODAY: President Bush campaigned in Ohio.

Hi ya Phancy
Check out the Bush Cheney Website they have a dairy section under Blogs.
He's so darn photogenic. Is it me or does he appear to have lost some weight in photo #1? Some caller to the Hannity Radio Show said there were well over 40,000 people in attendance in Ohio and President was due in a few minutes. Had to leave so I didn't hear the reaction he must have had seeing so many come to pay their respects.
Be away for a few minutes need to go up garden see you all in about 20 minutes. By the way Gretchen thanks for picture of the VP.

I am happy with my blue ribbon. It's just so refreshing to read this thread every day.
I am back
President Bush interview on OReily now
Isn't it interesting that both Bush and Cheney could take time off the campaign trail to see Allawi, but neither Kerry nor Edwards could?
President Bush is on with O'Reilly NOW!
They have class Kerry and Edwards do not
Thanks, GEM. And thanks for the Barney pix. They're a riot.
Here in my part of NY State, there is absolutely no listing in the phone book for any Republican office, and I've been trying hard to get a Bush/Cheney yard sign. I finally smacked myself upside the head and realized I should call my congressman. His office said they'd DELIVER one to my house this week.
I plan to take it in every night to avoid having it stolen.
Now I have to go see if I have the small Bush/Cheney sign for my front door from four years ago.
Hi Gretchen, I just found the site a couple of weeks ago and love it. I have gone back and looked at all the old ones and look forward to each days dose. Please put me on the Daily Dose Ping list... Thanks
PBS' Jim Lehrer showed an awesome crowd picture of Pres. Bush's huge Ohio rally. I was thrilled to see it. They played lengthy excerpts of the President's speech. They played down the crowd total, though.
Thanks for the ping...the photos are great!
WELCOME!
It's wonderful to come here every night and see the wonderful pictures and chat with everyone here. I'll give you my standard warning that the Dose is very addicting . . . :-) and if you're a political newbie like I was, you'll learn a lot too! I learn something every day.
Anyone about
"Dear Larry, "Last Thursday I put out one of my Bush/Cheney signs in my front yard. Between midnight and 3 a.m. someone stole it. On Friday night I put out sign No. 2. Since I didn't have to get up early, I thought my dog and I would "stake out" our sign. This time I put the sign a little closer to the gate leading to my backyard. With my dog on an extra long leash, I planted myself on a lawn chair and read 'Unfit for Command' by flashlight until about 1 a.m. Here comes the fun part.... I noticed that the car coming down the street was slowing down and pulling over to the curb right next to my yard. Sure enough, he gets out of his car and heads right for my sign. Just as he was about to uproot and desecrate it, I opened my gate and let my dog make the initial introduction. As he ran to hide behind the rear end of his car, I promptly moved to the driver-side door, which was still open. It was a fairly nice car with power everything and still running. While my dog continued to 'introduce' herself, I rolled up the window and hit the power door lock button. With that, I slammed the door, grabbed my Bush sign and headed into the back yard. "And now for the 'rest of the story.' About 40 minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door to one of our city's finest... the Vancouver Police Department. The officer asked me what was going on and when I told him, he could not stop laughing. I followed him out to the perp's car and stood there while he asked the guy a few more questions. Upon learning that the guy lived a couple of streets down, I knowing what was about to happen asked him, 'Why do you have Oregon plates on your car if you live just down the street (here in Vancouver, Wash.)?' Larry, Oregon has no sales tax, so often Washington residents will buy and register cars in Oregon to avoid paying sales tax... it's a crime and the fine is pretty stiff. Here comes the best part.... The look on this guy's face told me he knew he was about to get busted. When the officer asked for his license and registration, the 'Democrat' mumbled that (his license) was suspended. Just for kicks and giggles I asked the officer if he smelled any alcohol coming from the guy. The officer looked at me, smiled and promptly gave him a field breathalyzer test. Guess what? You got it, he blew a .10, legally drunk in the state of Washington. "DUI, illegal registration and the brand of 'MORON,' all 'cause he hates Bush. "Sincerely, "John."
