Fox News Bill O'Reilly Admits His Liberalism and Democrat tilt
Wire Reports/The Spokesman-Review | 9-25-2004 | Unknown

Posted on 09/25/2004 5:41:06 PM PDT by lilylangtree

On Sunday's "60 Minutes" during which he is interviewed by longtime CBS newscaster Mike Wallace, Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly comes out with some surprising comments. He says he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, for civil unions and for gay adoption, (as a last resort instead of state custody). And he won't necessarily vote for President Bush in November.

I've known (Democratic presidential nominee John) Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," O'Reilly says.

O'Reilly comes out of the (liberal) closet - ping.

O'Reilly's misogyny may be more than just shy Irish awkwardness. He's a screwed up dude, and his weathervane political views are just one part of the picture.

He shouldn't be a disappointment if you've watched him. I think he's angling for "respectability" among the media elite. He wants to be considered one of the big boys and that means adopting the liberal mindset. i gave up on him some time ago.

Britt Hume is the media elite. Let B.O. go back to the LSM (and take Colmes with). Most people want to move up in the world, B.O. wants to move back down.

I agree with your evaluation. O Reilly has troubled me for some time because even when he seems to come to the right conclusion/view on some issue; he usually got there for the wrong reasons. His views on same-sex marriage and homosexual adoption are prime examples.

How many times have we heard him say, "I don't have any friends, nobody likes me, I don't get invited to any parties, etc." He's now probably started believing this croc and is kissing up to the libs so he can get in on some of the parties, etc.

Haven't been able to stomach O'Blowhard for at least a year. He makes my teeth hurt.

He's gone country
look at them boots
....
This song suddenly popped into my head. Guess he figured us toothless conservatives would buy his act...we did. Why are we so trusting? Because we're trustworthy, I guess. Oh well, O'Reilly is history now. Hope Hannity doesn't have a surprise for us too.

Fox needs to get rid of Greta Van Susterin.
I'm sick of Scott Peterson talk every day.
I wonder what will Greta talk about when this trial is over.

I always knew what an elitist pantload BOR is....everytime you got him down to a few "litmus test"(for me,at least )issues,I knew he was no real friend of freedom...what else could you expect from a "Currentr Affair"leftover.

Britt Hume gives Vacant Juan way too much time for my taste.

Since they're giving both sides, they have to give the left some time. I'd rather not listen to him either, but they're trying to get that group in the middle to watch them, too. IOW, they're doing the right thing.

He just admitted to everyone that his show is an act- he said what he needed to in order to get ratings and ... and IMO-he now thinks everyone is so in love with him as a person that he can FINALLY come clean.

Bill- it isn't you we love- or will miss. Goodbye! Good Riddance. I haven't watched for three weeks and I won't watch again. You have been buggin' me for about a year now.

He is an opportuntist first and foremost. He knows that he will never be another Rush Limbaugh so he is trying piece together an audience out of middle of the road types which is mostly liberals and "indepedents" and people bored with Rush.

It is just a marketing ploy.

Kerry's a patriot? On what planet?

I've always found him to be a shallow-minded boor. He's never had an original idea, and he's never been the least bit entertaining. He feigns expertise on every subject he discusses, yet he's one of the most ingnorant media personalities of our time (Dan Rather excepted).

Laura Ingraham would be an excellent replacement. She's intelligent, open-minded, highly entertaining, an a lot better looking than Bill.

Greta's "All court cases all the time" mode is BORING to the max. I actually switch to C-SPAN when she comes on.

O'Reilly, just chuga-lugged the poison Kool aid. What an imbicle deluxe!!! Fox can either drink the kool aid with this arogant asshole, or else send his ass back to the minor leagues on one of those dying liberal gnat-works.

I don't think O'Reilly will be going to CBS...his head is too big to fit in any of their studios.

.
He can listen to what he has to say. The fact he can believe it, astounds me.

Earth to O'Reilly: Kerry is a traitor. Has been for 30 years. You can stick your head in the sand (or anywhere else) but that won't change the facts. You either are like minded with Kerry, or you are not.

I even sent him the John F. Kerry Timeline. Doubt he spends much time reading, 'cause he sure doesn't know much.
