Thought a thread in Breaking News for the weekend covering Hurricane Jeanne would be a good thing. Post your link, pics, updates and freeper check-in's here
Across from Burger King?
I live in Pinellas County. We'll be hit with rains and wind. I hope your area doesn't get hit that hard. I was just telling someone else that Florida is the only state in 100 years to have been struck with four major hurricanes. The following link has the report
http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?BRD=1994&dept_id=226369&newsid=13002674&PAG=461&rfi=9
I'll pray for you and your family and everyone who will be affected by Jeanne.
The ICF has a R rating of (I think) 44 in the walls alone. I have been in some ICF homes around here and the sound insulation is unreal, and the place stays cool; just as if you were in a styrofoam cooler. Well - 'cause you are! With 6" of solid, seamless concrete between the foam layers.
I was an AA before I sent away for that enhancement pill that keeps on showing up in my spam email.
"we here in winter park wish you well. good luck and stay safe"
And the same to you...just listening now...all area schools closed on Monday.(Seminole, Orange, Volusia, Brevard, Marion and Flagler) curfews tonight - all public transportation closing down at 3 PM today.
Maybe I should invest in an inverter at Home Depot.
I'm just a lurker here on the Connecticut shoreline but always follow the hurricane threads here for my information. I know lots of you can recognize each other but it sure would be interesting to me if you included in your post where you are reporting from when you give information. (Maybe in the tagline?) I'm sure God will recognize your freeper names when I pray for all of you! Be safe!
Well, here we go again. Hello to all who were on the Frances threads. For those who were not, I am in east Boca Raton. Woke up early this morning and everything is now boarded/shuttered up and I am ready to go. Now it is time to just sit back and watch Jeanne do her best.
Good idea
Wow, that one is bookmarked!
I here on the west coast north of Tampa( Tarpon Springs area ). Local guys said we will see hurricane force winds early tomorrow morning. They predict worse than Frances for my area.
BTW, cyn, you've been added to the list.
What link do you click on to get to that page from their start page
http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/
Hope everything goes okay for you. Sorry to hear you guys are going thru all of this.
Groan is right. And I'm not even in it's dangerous path, it looks like I'll just get rain from it.
As the day progresses, I'll start looking for info. Anyone with ideas or links please FReepmail them to me and I will compile and then post a thread when it seems appropriate - either tomorrow or Monday.
The photos are awesome in their detail. You can see vehicles easily. The piles of boats tossed onshore are incredible. You can see roof damage on each building. I've been scrolling around Pensacola, and it's breathtaking how much damage there is.
Yes...let's continually hold our brothers and sisters up in prayer....Praying for Jeannie to stop and move a different direction all together....Our Heavenly Father..send in the wind shears & dry air and knock this storm down lots. Turn her away from all land. In the precious name of your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray.
Will add you and yours to our prayer list.
