Just reported on Fox News, Fox and Friends, that Burkett is quoted in an article as stating that Joe Lockhart of the Kerry campaign pressured Burkett to release the documents to him!
Joe Lockhart: "Now I want you to listen.....I did NOT....HAVE.....conversations with that nutjob.....Mr. Burkett..."
He may have. (though I don't think Burkett needed pressure)
It's possible that something Lockhart said convinced Burkett to go thru with his smear campaign. But Burkett is unreliable and anything he says should be taken with a grain of salt.
The MSM is going to dismiss Burkett as "not credible" and "tainted" because he came up with the forged documents in the first place.
Oh. Wait a minute. That will force them to admit the documents were forged, which many of them have not been able to bring themselves to do.

Burkett is a nut. Anything he says is suspect.
The original modified limited hangout WOULD HAVE WORKED without a federal judge issuing subpoenas that could result in people going to jail.
The DNC-CBS conspirators have no shame, cannot be embarrassed, and will not be made to feel guilty.
This story is basically over UNLESS Mapes or somebody who works for Lockhart is actually put at risk of something they can't control through spin or stonewalling-like a trip to federal prison.
I'd like to think we'd get to the bottom of this before the election but history tells me stonewalls work for at least 30 days especially when the MSM has no horse in the race( quite the contrary!) Look at the frustration over at Judicail watch and the Kerry Medal Flap; its almost as if geology works faster

I disagree and here is why. the DNC and the media set out to discredit Burkett as soon as this started to unravel, saying he was a nut. Now that he is not going to allow himself to be smeared he will rat them all out, ala John Dean.
The main question, regrettably, is: Which Pubbie(s) will end up resigning, being done in?
It seems every time the libs/Dems get their hand caught in a cookie jar, a Pubbie ends up resigning or being done in. That already happened on one of those two Senate memogates.

I find it hard to believe that Burkett is sharp enough to fake a few documents..........so are we still missing someone here in the scandel?....they did break federal laws didn't they?
We have a newbie guys and gals, lets welcome the newbie.
I'm not surprised, but remember, Burkette is a proven liar, and people lie to shift blame to others. I think it's likely, but we need an alternate source.

Oh I know Burkett was good enough to use to attack the President but now he will be torn apart by the RATS.
When it first came out that Lockhart had talked to Burkett, Lockhart came right out and publically admitted the conversation, but denied they talked about the memos. Now that Burkett has specifically stated that the memos WERE discussed, I wonder if we will be hearing from Mr. Lockhart anytime soon. I bet he will be unavailable for comment. The DNC will pick someone else to come out to speak for him.
I'm afraid he's going to be known as Joe Lockjaw from here on out.
