I Nearly Fell Out Of Bed (Where I Lounge To Watch TV)
Stark Raving Mad ^ | 09/22/04 | Lark

Just moments after Iraqi PM Allawi spoke to a joint meeting of Congress wherein he thanked America, describing the horror of life under Saddam and Iraq’s staggeringly swift progress toward self-sufficiency under the umbrella of US protection, John Frickin’ Kerry on national TV today accused Allawi of being in cahoots with President Bush to lie about the state of Iraq! In a stunning and breathtaking breach of diplomatic decency now seared in my memory (seared, I tell you), Kerry dragged Allawi directly into his tasteless campaign rhetoric, saying:

"The prime minister and the president are here obviously to put their best face on the policy…”
It’s quite obvious Kerry is furious since Allawi’s speech directly contradicts Kerry’s new meme of “quagmire” in Iraq, not to mention everything else Kerry has ever said about Iraq and the WOT. These unseemly reactions are typical of Kerry, though I continue to marvel at it given his insistence that he is “Mr. Diplomacy”. This man needs a brain transplant. How about integrity? Where’s the Wizard of Oz when you need him?

In the press conference later at the White House with President Bush, Allawi stopped the questions for a moment to address the media’s negative reporting slant on Iraq. He put the “insurgency” into perspective, saying - and I paraphrase a bit - “Iraq has 18 provinces, 15 of which are peaceful and stable and in which free elections could be easily held tomorrow. In the three provinces where terrorists are lurking,” he goes on to say, “those are large provinces and the battles occur in a small part of the province.” Allawi also said that the media, not just here in America but all over the world, needs to start reporting more than just the bad news that is occurring in a tiny portion of the country. Call Allawi a member of the VRWC - he wants fair and balanced reporting, too! Call the New York Mimes! Heck, take it all the way and call Dan Blather! This is obviously unimpeachable evidence that Allawi failed to appear for his own physical. Or something.

But I digress. Back to the press conference. In response to a question on the conditions in Iraq, Bush made the point of telling the reporters that “he believed Allawi” - a well-deserved poke in the eye for Kerry, in my opinion. Picture it. Sicily. 19- er, sorry, wrong ‘fictitious’ character… Picture it. Iraq. 2004. President Kerry (I know! hold on to your barf bags and bear with me) - President Kerry assumes partnership with Allawi in the War On Terror and the continued rebuilding of Iraq. Egad! Allawi would spit in his eye. After dissin’ their Prime Minister, could Kerry even visit Iraq safely? Has Kerry ‘jumped the shark’? Don’t bet on it.

Lessons of Vietnam: Never ever elect a person such as Kerry for President.

Kerry has made it quite clear that he would divide Iraq into spoils split with France and Germany while President Bush is busy helping the Iraqi people throw off Saddam Hussein and the Baathist thugs.

Gee, I wonder why would Iraqi Prime Minister Allawi is not a big Kerry supporter?

/sarcasm

Kerry simply wants to loose another one for the good ole USA. Liberals want to play with the balance of power in the world. It reminds me of after the USA developed the atomic bomb, there was a group of people running all over themselves to trying give nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. That mentality will always exist.

What is unbelievable is close to half of the country will vote for this idiot. It is a sad state when this country puts idealism ahead of what is obviously best for the country. This guy is embarrassing us on the world stage.

"I have a diagnosis for patient (very) sKerry's malady: JALOUSIE."

Very true, however I would say more like EGOMANIA.

Makes my blood boil.

Have you ever seen a bigger scumbag (thanks tareeza) politician.

1) Calls the SBVT liars even though all he has to do is sign his 180 to prove them wrong.

2) Calls on President Bush to stop the $1.5M SBVT ads while moveon and friends have a $60M bankroll to slander the CIC.

3) Calls President Bush a liar, AWOL and whatever else based on forged documents even after they are proven fakes.

4) Complains about President Bushes Honorable discharge six months early, while he got his 20 years late.

5) Tells America that Bush will re-instate a draft while the only draft bills in congress are Democrat sponsored.

6) Tells the world Iraq is a quagmire because he says so.

7) Calls Bush and Allawi liars after their speech to both chambers of congress.

The sad part is this is not the low yet. I fully expect Mr. Heinz to slink lower at some point. I have never disliked a politician worse than this guy.

I was extremely livid at Kerry's cheapshot comments. Kerry virtually called Allawi a liar and a patsy. I'd like to see him say that to his face. And, God forbid, if Kerry becomes president, what did he just do to the possibility of working with him. Is that the kind of diplomacy Kerry plans to conduct? Insult the leader of a country? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Sounds like a double standard here. "Respected in the world" everywhere but Iraq?

I don't think a man who survived an axe attack and stands up to the face of death would ever be anyone's lapdog. No, this is not a weak man. This is a very strong, brave, and honorable man----much more of a man than John Kerry who fled danger as quickly as the law would allow.

I'd like to see them in a brawl. We all know who would end up on the floor crying like a baby.

You know, Kerry hasn't even been to Iraq, yet he claims to know everything that is going on there. I guess he thinks watching CBS News gives him all he needs in terms of "knowing what is going on" in Iraq.

No need for pesky intelligence briefings or attending that bothersome Senate Intelligence committee! Just watch his buddy, Dan!! He'll tell you all you need to know!! LOL!

The last time Kerry huffed and puffed about going to Iraq was waaaaay back in March (see the WashTimes article titled "Kerry's proposed Iraq trip recalls McGovern war visit." So appropriate in so many ways!) http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20040310-123817-7751r.htm

I guess Kerry decided to take the French way out, and just chickened out.

I don't know what he would be worried about. I am SURE that our fine soldiers would protect him!! LOL! I can see it now: "You are perfectly safe with us, Senator Kerry!! Oh look, a baby wolf!!"
