Cool.
Now I realize that within this new alternative media there exists some jealosy,. I sense that some people dont want to give the blogosphere the full credit. They have to parcel it out because every body wants a piece of the action; this is quite normal, this is human nature. The fact of the matter is that it was the blogosphere and it was a couple of sites: Powerline and FreeRepublic. And FreeRepublic has been one of the most impugned blogs / websites in the history of websites by the very institution that has been brought down.
When Dan Rather talked about partisan political operatives, he means those who lurk at FreeRepublic. Who is FreeRepublic, its ordinary Americans liberals look down at ordinary Americans, dont know have enough decision making power, [?] do the right thing, not smart enough
You dont know how much it grates on them at CBS that its something like FreeRepublic or one of their chat rooms or one of the FReepers there or the Powerline you have no idea that it irritates them that that kind of person brought them down. An average, ordinary untrained journalist that you just do not know how this irritates them inside. More than the fact that they got caught, its who caught them that irritates them.
And, so just as I started out I was a fad, and I was a liar, and I made it up and I was bad for America and I posed threats to democracy, as the cover of Time said. So now the same things are being said about the bloggers. Fox news has had its turn and we all continue rotating in the criticism carousel of the left.
See Howlin - those that REALLY matter, know!
Hey Rush....Capricorns Rule!
I was listening in the parking lot at work....getting ready to go in.....just wanted to shout for joy...."YES RUSH!"
We sometimes forget that our nation was founded by just ordinary men. Two of my fourth great grandfathers signed the Bradford Accords (PA-history) that pre-dated the Declaration of Independence. One served at Valley Forge the other at FOrt Pitt. Both were just poor German dirt farmers, who cared about this country. They wanted the best for theirchildren and their children's children....and a few generations later those ideals are still just as valid......Now if I could just get my son to cooperate with the grandchildren part. ;^)
Required reading........ grades 10 through college....
Ping to number 415. ESPECIALLY the text in blue!!!
GO FREEPERS!!!!!!!!!
FR is the best thing since BEER was invented...
Both. I'm that good.
Give Pajamahadeen a chance to get it right.
Nope. I won't see my brethren maligned with a permutation of the name long-ago assigned to Islamist footsoldiers. It just ain't gonna if I can help it.
Buckhead?
Yes, but as I told Guillermo, I'm sticking by my story. "It's true. I want to make clear to you. I want to make clear to you, if I have not made clear to you, that this story is true and that more important questions than how we got the story, which is where those who don't like the story would like to put the emphasis. The more important question is, what are the answers to the questions raised in this story which I just gave you earlier?"
Cordially,
Yes I do :0)
BTW .. were are not bloggers .. We Are Freepers!!!
the first I ever heard of Free Republic was on Rush's radio show. Maybe 1997-98? He was talking to a woman producer from Hollywood who was in at the start. At the time I wasn't even too sure what a website was!
We are not bloggers is RIGHT!
We are the few (but growing rapidly), the proud, the Freepers!!!!!
And thus is born another pajamahudeen.
YEP!
Thanks Rush.
from Prime Choice back on page 1. (I'm eternally grateful that Rush refers to us as bloggers and FReepers instead of the increasingly-inaccurate "Pajamahadeen.")
I kinda like "Pajamahadeen" I think it's freagan hillarious. Did you read that Jim guy's (Ben Bloggin) Post at the kerry spot on NRO today? I was laughing hard.... Go read it.
That is EXACTLY what I told my homeschooled kids yesterday...
This isn't just about sarcastic comments on the Internet...this is about fighting for what we believe in...FREEDOM!
And Rush gave me the opportunity to tell my kids all about freedom, democracy, the MSM, and what this website is all about. They stand over my shoulder and read my posts now!
Are we raising a new generation of FReepers?
Bumping so I can read this thread later. Thanks, Rush! I heard this segment of today's program.
FReepers -- We're Everywhere!
I'm picturing William Wallace (mel gibson) on the chopping block as he looks out over the crowd and says...
FREEEEEEEP On.......
