Q Holly might have already asked you this, but do you know if this is an avail or a regular press conference tomorrow?
MR. McCLELLAN: Well, it's a press availability in the Rose Garden, obviously, you'll be there to cover it.
Q Is it like a news conference?
Q How many questions?
MR. McCLELLAN: We'll talk that through with Prime Minister Allawi -- we haven't done that at this point -- and work all that out. You'll all be there to cover it. I fully expect questions.
Q Thank you.

The (Iraqi) PM is set to address a joint session of Congress tomorrow. Great news. I wonder if Kerry will immediately take to the airwaves to give his opposing opinion....

I wonder if Kerry will immediately take to the airwaves to give his opposing opinion.... Nawwwwwwww I imagine him running down to the well and knocking Allawi out from behind the mic and start from there.

Wait... either Kerry had no idea that Allawi would be here, when he deicded to go anti-war; or he is even dumber than I thought.

Kerry taps buttons on bomb. (Boop BEEP bip)
Digital display lights up, starts counting down...
Bush's voice on radio: "You, my friend, have just armed a nuclear bomb."

I think Kerry's staff realized that his best hope to overtake Bush is to start creating distinctions between himself and Bush. Now, one option on the war on terror and Iraq is to differentiate himself from Bush by being to the RIGHT of Bush...more willing to pound Fallujah into dust, for example. But that's not Kerry's true leanings. His instincts are to cut and run, and to hope the terrorists will like us if we cave in. So he is carving out more of the "weenie/appeasement" side of the Iraq equation for himself, in order to create a distinction between himself and Bush on the issue.
Of course, by doing this in the hopes of winning, he's proving that he's dumber than we thought, which is what your last plausible explantion is, which makes it the correct explantion.

I find it ironic that while Kerry criticized President Bush and PM Allawi at the Fire station this morning Kerry's Democrat comrades in the Senate were giving Allawi a standing ovation
