Last night we noticed our neighbors across the street putting up Christmas lights. This drew our attention and then we saw the big sign on their garage:

WELCOME HOME SON
We Are Very Proud of You
Thanks For Fighting For Our Freedom

Chris, WELCOME BACK. Thank you carrying Freedom to those who have not been as fortunate as we, in America. You have done a wonderful job in Iraq. I've been reading about the fantastic things you military have been doing there. God Bless.

I don't normally go around spouting scripture (OK, let's be blunt, I never go around spouting scripture), but I was reminded of this one just last week when we laid to rest SPC. Chad H Drake -- "Greater love hath no man (or woman) than to lay down his (or her)life for his friends." John 15:13.

Most of these soldiers put themselves in harms way, not just for their friends and family, but for those of us they don't even know, their fellow Americans.

How awesome is that... We love you all and are so very proud. We're glad you are home safe, and pray for your fellow troops, that they enjoy the same privilege.

I'm reporting in as ordered from the Queen City of the Northern Rockies; beautiful Helena, MT.

To Chris and to all our nations sons and daughters who answered our nations call to service:

I salute you; I honor your dedication to our country. You're simply the best; called to duty in times of national trouble and turmoil; you showed up to defend our country; many of you have paid with your lives. There are no words yet written that describe my support and appreciation for what you've done; I appreciate the effort and the sacrfices made by all of our soldiers defending our country.

I can only attempt to repay you good folks with deeds. I will never support a candidate for any elective office who doesn't recognize nor support our gallant folks on the front lines. NEVER...

Some pretend; some are want to be's; some wake up each morning wondering what the sam hell they believe in today. I'm not that kind of guy; neither is our President.

Chris; I honor you and your service to this great nation of ours...
