Does anyone actually believe what they say about what they talked about with Burkett? They are only fessing up because if they don't now, when someone looks into Burkett's phone records they will see Cleland and Lockhart's phone numbers.

Getting your name out early for something you can't hide is good. That way the press fondles you then throws you aside as they zero in on the next victim. Looks like the Kerry/DNC folks dribbled old Burkett down the court and slam-dunked him right into the briar patch. Now he's going to start swinging in every direction, but in the mean time there are too many Dims running around that know too much. I know the Kerry campaign cannot manage damage control. They haven't managed anything right so far. The ship will go down, many hands lost. They know it too; the smell of fear is on them.
