Actually those of us that live here in SD are very knowledgeable with respect to politics. Daschole stronghold comes not from his representing the views and positions of SD, but of his ability to bring in 10 times the amount of federal funding than what is "stolen" out of the state. The second reason he remains in power is that he gives SD, an extremely small population, a large voice in Washington; however, polluted that voice may be. If we, Thune that is, can address these two issues and convince SD that our voice will still be heard, Dashole will lose in a landslide
Would love a side shot of Tommy sitting on a phone book next to Thune.
TommyD on MTP tries to talk over Thune about the judges issue (judges not confirmed nor voted on--being filibustered).
That makes it appear that Tommy doesn't want the audience to hear what Thune is saying.
[I wonder whether the folks in SD will come to that conclusion, too.]
Just another in a long series of reasons to be suspicious of John McCain..Politician first..republican second
Thune is doing a good job, especially talking about what Daschle has been doing in the Senate, the "Daschle dead zone."
I'd say self-love first, everything else after.
The politicking apparently just grows out of his first love. Himself.
Dan
If you afer a dem/rat in South Dakota how "dumb" do you have to be to vote for tiny tom?
And, very often he's rational third.
McCain is following President Bush's example of not commenting on the docs plus McCain is friends w/Kerry IMO.
Maybe the Preparation H travelled the extra 2 inches and affected his brain? EWWW on the phone books....
John McCain had lots of support from folks on this forum and others during the 2000 primary season.
What happened to those supporters?
He hasn't held his own Senate investigation into it?..O'Reilly says he never trusts anyone else's investigations for his accusations...;)
McCain has to maintain his media darling status...
Silly boy Brit has a brand new board.
But does there seem to be one or the other winning the debate? And is Russert playing fair?
The GOP Team Leader email that goes out regularly has an entire section devoted to the facts that refute the DNC charges as seen in their commercials. It is serious bullet point information.
I am not at my own computer now so can't post a link.
McCain was his old mean self attacking Bush indirectly. When asked what Bush should do about the NG issue, McCain responded that like any other scandal, Bush should get all the information out there and put it behind him. Even when Wallace asked him about the word scandal, he didn't back off nor did he give an opinion on the forged memos. McCain went into some detail about Kerry's honorable service in Vietnam emphasizing the word combat. He also mentioned his working with Kerry on the MIA issues.
He needs to be better than good to knock out one of the slickest politicians of all time.
Ooooohhh that hurt.
Uh, strawberries....
When is McCain up for reelection?
