Last night while watching Scarborough Country, one of the participants made a comment about Burkett and the county Democrat organization he is a member of. He or someone else mentioned that it was to that same County Democrat organization that Dan Rather went to a year or two ago and participated in a fund raiser. It was mentioned that that was at the behest of Rather's daughter.
Any one know if Rather's daughter still lives in that same Texas County where she got her dad to participate in a fund raiser? My speculation is that Rather's irrational stonewalling may be an attempt to keep his daughter out of the whole episode. Comments?
I strongly suspect that she was involved. That would partially explain Danny-boy's stonewalling.
What did she know, and when did she know it?

There were some posts mentioning that his daughter is thinking about running for mayor of Austin. Not sure if it's in the same county as this fundraiser was held in though.

I looked at her picture and the first words out of my mouth were, " G@d D@mn!----she's an unfortunate looking woman (?)"

I'm sorry, but this women looks like Dan Rather dressed in drag. No wonder she's so angry. (shame on me for mocking another woman's looks, but yikkes, she's frightening)

As several people have pointed out, CBS is not taking all
this heat to protect Burkett (assuming he's actually
directly involved - the memos are clearly based on his
traditional rantings). Burkett is expendable. Even though
clearly a Dem partisan, he can be spun as certifiable.
So who/what is more important to protect than the guy
presently about to take the fall, Grima Rathertongue?
She looks fine in the second picture. Well that's what age does to you, makes us all look like trolls.
Travis County Texas is a snakepit of dirty dems.
