Who is your favorite conservative radio talk show host?

Posted on 09/17/2004 8:18:26 PM PDT by RedOhio

I was just wondering what everyone's favorite talk radio show is. My favorite is Glenn Beck. Your thoughts?

I'm so disappointed that Larry doesn't show up more on this thread, he really is one of the better ones out there.

I couldn't agree more, I'm an Elderado fer sure. I love his show's intro and lead in and he is a great educator. He has a brand new TV show on from 9AM-10AM daily on CBS. It started this week.

I'd be great if he could sit in for Sean sometime

I couldn't agree more. I love Barry's "pull no punches" straight talk. He definately gets his point across, but uses alot of humor in doing it...which I really appreciate.
Barry Young filling in for Sean...Great call valleygal.

Boobey Dooley is so delightfully self-centered, snobbish, and generally obnoxious!

I forgot to mention Dennis Praeger. I think he does a fine job. He is certainly conservative but his show isn't so much about politics as about philosophy and morality.

I enjoy listening to him but I only get to listen to rebroadcasts on the weekend.

While I agree that you don't often hear Matt happy in a conventional sense,I does happen once in a while

There's not much that can charge me quicker than when Matt fires up on one of those rants of his.

I've never heard Beck. I'd like to check him out. Does he have webcasts available?

Yes, but you have to sign up to his "Insider" service, which is not free.

Despite his occassional giddiness and elitist law-professor airs,
Hugh Hewitt has my vote (www.hughhewitt.com).
He's the only one to find a teacher (David Alan White of The Naval Academy) that
has gotten me interested in Shakespeare.

VERY close runnerups are
Dennis Prager and Michael Medved of The Salem Radio Network (www.krla870.com),
Al Rantel of KABC (www.kabc.com),
and John Ziegler and Capt. Dale Dye (www.kfi870.com)

ehhhh if we wanted "happy" we'd all tune in to Katie Couric every day. Who needs that?

Wow. You are the ultimate radio guy!

What station is Laura on? 5 AM is too early for me, or I'd listen to Bruce Jacobs some.

I listen to Rush and Sean, too. And then at 4 I'll hear some of Tom Liddy and Austin Hill if I'm in the car. I haven't listened to Hugh Hewitt but it sounds like alot here do Where is he on the dial?

So just how do we make that happen, Barry in for Sean ocassionally? I know they know each other because Sean always says how much he likes it here.

I'll just have to send Sean an e-mail I guess. :)

I like several for different reasons:

Bob Grant - his voice sounds just like my late Italian-American grandfather and he's somewhat pessimistic like my late Italian-American grandfather. He has the best callers. I look forward to Jimmy from Brooklyn, Greg from Chatham and especially John from Staten Island.

Mark Levin - I love his crankiness. Great distinctive ornery voice.

Steve Malzberg - Very underrated. His show is on in the middle of the night, so it's hard to stay up for it. But he does have a Sunday show which is great.

Sean Hannity - I love Sean. He's a all-around great guy. He needs a solo TV show.

Rush is still a fave

Savage - Truly the only one who can savage idiot leftist callers.

Monica Crowley - this lady is very impressive

Laura Ingraham - I like her show but the signal for the station starts fading out in the evening when it is on.

I wish I could hear Michael Reagan, Dennis Prager and Michael Medved.

I'm sorry. I didn't see the other posts. Laura is on at `6.07 PST on 870AM. She's a kick! She'll reach across the table and grab YOUR coffee if she's thirsty:)
