FIRST SIGNS OFF SUCCESS WITH 'THE PLAN' [09/17 05:08 PM]
The Pajamahadeen are getting their first results. I am forwarded an email from one CBS affiliate general manager. I don't want this guy to get in trouble, so I'll just say he's from a city of about 150,000 in the midwest.
You are one in a line of many who have written with concerns and Im responding to all of them. I must say I am disappointed, however, at your last statement that you would indeed throw out any integrity that [this station]has strived to build with this incident. Of course we would not and WILL not stand by the network or Dan Rather. This is an embarrassment. If you think you are disappointed, you should be a station that has played a part in making CBS Americas most watched network. You should be in my shoes knowing that we actually pay for some of their services.
All I can say is that you are right. For what it is worth, a directive went out from my office that no more promos containing Dan Rather are to air on [this station], nor is the network tease during the 5:00 newscast to air. That promotes stories on the CBS Evening News. It will not run.
We can only express our grave disappointment and consider preemption of CBS PrimeTime programming. Believe me, our affiliate reps both regionally and nationally are listening to our concerns and in my heart I believe action against Dan Rather on the part of the network is not far away.
I was embarrassed by the 60 Minutes program Wednesday night. We would NOT have approved running the story nor would we have ignored expert. Dan violated a rule from Journalism 101 and that is to never, yourself, become the focus of the story.
I would ask you stand WITH [this station] and not abandon us. It is during this time that we must all stand firm in our beliefs.
It sounds like this guy gets it. Now the Pajamahadeen has to get as many affiliate station managers and programming directors to join him as possible.
By the way, one line in that e-mail is worth repeating: "Our affiliate reps both regionally and nationally are listening to our concerns and in my heart I believe action against Dan Rather on the part of the network is not far away."
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON, DON'T GIVE IN.
The story cited above is from Jim Geraty at the National Review online blog:

The news manager of our local news/talk radio station came on the air today to announce that the station's management is reconsidering their affiliation with the CBS radio network. From the sounds of it, they will not continue as a CBS affiliate once their current agreement expires.
God Bless you Diago, and may God bless all Freeps!!!
This particular DUmmie seems a little weak on the concept of a spider-web and its function.
Their data is bad, and their metaphors are collapsing around their pointed heads.
Pity the DUmmies, just this once.
Pajamahadeen? Is this the first time this has been used. I'm not sure I like it. It makes us sound like a bunch of extremist terrorists.
Thank you for being on our side God.
bttt
Good question. It was the first time I had seen it.
Dan Rather does the CBS radio news at the 4 pm hour, and the station manager decided not to run the Rather newscast until this is resolved, replacing it with a Fox news segment instead.
Today, at 4, they goofed. The news began and it was Dan Rather starting the report with something about Ivan. It ran for about 6 or 7 seconds, and I was in shock. But the host busts in yelling "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! We FIRED that guy!!!" He made the studio engineer pot it down and told her to get Fox News up instead, which she did.
It was great, because essentially it keeps the story very much alive in Houston, and this station has effectively fired Dan Rather twice in three days. LOL.
That is outstanding. Who could ask for anything more?
Good for your Houston station. Perhaps the third time will be the charm.
I don't like it, either, for the same reason. It's a funny term because the pajama comment made earlier, but it's too easily envisioned by the general public as a very negative thing. I'll never use it.
Wow! Ditto that!
We should be calling the mainstream media the oldmediahadeen. They're the extremists shilling for the DNC, trashing truth, engaging in forgeries, trying to bring down America. Death to the oldmediahadeen!
Sweet!
The AWB Has Expired - Gun Owners Have Won Again For All Americans!
The Pajamahadeen .... May the Force be with you!
The guy who wrote "Bias" (forget name, Bernie ... ???) an ex CBS reporter, said recently that CBS should have at least given some information about the source of the documents. You can tell general information like "a White House Source", or "A disgruntled Guard Member", or "Campaign Worker", at least something to identify where the source is coming from.
(C)BS didn't do that in any way. They just said "we've obtained a memo".
Our guy here said "it came from a city of 150,000 in the Midwest". That's the provenance.
If you want to say he forged the e-mail. Great. But at least he's got more information than (C)BS has.
BINGO! That is the correct response. Now tell their advertisers you are boycotting them (and make sure WGCL knows it too). They need to be hurt before they will do the right thing. They will ignore threats and warnings and just hope this will blow over in time.
