ABC News has an exclusive interview with Col. Stoudt, the retired colonel who allegedly pressured Killian to cover for Lt. Bush during his Air National Guard stint according to forged documents aired by CBS News.
Stoudt says the docs are fake, he never pressured Killian about Bush and he did nothing to help Bush get into the Air National Guard in fact he was happy to have as many pilots as he could.
LOL! Yesterday on Hannity's radio program, the always reliable and brave Oliver North did precisely that, openly and straightforwardly. Citing Kerry's long record of meeting with communists and supporting communist causes, North said he did question Kerry's patriotism. I love Ollie North!
Alot of Republican friends of mine told me that I misunderestimated the hatred for Bush and its inevitable influence on the election and turnout.
I told them , in an admittedly platitudinous blurb, that hate doesn't sell.-- I know, a shopworn line at best.
But the truth remains in the truism:
Those that display visceral hate for someone rarely convince others to join them in their hatred, but rather causes others to question the reasonableness and ultimately the reliability of the hater.
This is, I think , the underlying story of this election: People don't want to hate their president, and most don't. Those that were once hesitant to vote for him are more inclined to do so after listening to the ravings of his most ardent detractors.
Old Danny boy is not QUALIFIED to don a pair of pj's. He does not possess the necessary traits of honestry and integrity required for our new official uniform.
Even if CBS fires Rather, Mapes, etc. it will be years, if ever, that they can regain the public confidence. If CBS doesn't fire them, the network might as well fold the doors or the public will force them into bankruptcy. What advertiser would be willing to be seen there?
quick, call the waaaaambulance
Know what you mean....Am down to eating peanut butter and any thing I can find in the back of the pantry...MUST grocery shop soon.
LOLOLOL
I have been practically giddy for almost a week....
: )
"Pajamahadeen"
That's a clasic!
He is sticking by his story, and calling out the President to 'answer the (fraudulent) questions', while the FR tanks are rolling behind him.
What a maroon.
Good question. I don't watch CBANBCABC news much, so didn't realize Pelley hasn't been around. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's been shunted aside or demoted or something if Pelley upstaged Rather.
I had been subsisting on a diet of red wine and granola bars at the computer until about 9:30 last night, when I broke off and got myself a decent meal (Mr. HR's been out of town). He's back, and between that and college football......I'll be more of a "daytime" FReeper.
Downtown is nice, love the antique shops, but there has been too much development there in the past few years. I live in the Hill Country, close to San Antonio and New Braunfels...now THAT is God's country!
Winds, blustery, scattered showers, but we're under a tornado watch and expecting "biblical" rains, I think.
''I love the guy,'' Staudt said of Bush. ''I'm so tired of this negative crap about him that I'd like to volunteer to build a barn and take you press guys out behind it and kick your asses.''
While not wanting to go so far as claiming she typed the docs, for partisan reasons the secretary obviously wanted to tell Rather something he wanted to hear. The Dems on TV were already spouting this "it doesn't matter if the docs are forged; it's the substance that matters" nonsense for several days before Rather interviewed the old woman.
Pairing off the animals?
