Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. Naaaah... I fixed Avionics.Radioes primarily.
Another idiot reports in for the Left. Prove your allegation instead of just trying to stir things up like a typical DU'r.
LOL!
We call them POGUES now! REMINGTON RAIDER! HAHA! I have not heard that term in a long time. Well done.
FUNNY!
I had them years ago.
I can't tell, but my question is, who tore up the sign? I think we're all just assuming the guy in the backwards cap did, but I don't know. He may have worn the union shirt to smuggle in the signs for his dad. All I'm asking is, does anyone know?
And is, "he goes to Rally's expecting this to happen" a defense? Maybe he goes to dem rallys just to prove that very point.
Regardless, whether or not the photo was a set-up is not the real issue. No one has come forward to challenge the thrust of the story. The Democratic party should have to answer the serious questions the photo raises. There is no definitive proof the scene was set-up. Perhaps the son was just reenacting what he had witnessed another union member do, so his conduct was accurate. All this talk about set-up is just a distraction.
Phil is on with Glenn Beck now.
I agree. Like I said, this incident is far different from Dan Blather's memos. One can actually PROVE if the "thug" is her brother.
Phil - "That kid is not my son. No idea who the union worker is."
the guy in the backwards cap (allegedly now a son of the Dad with the little girl on his shoulders) has little pieces of the sign in his hands. I think we've been had.
Exploiting a three-year-old is pretty lame. If that turns out to be what's going on, he deserves to be held up to ridicule.
You do have to admit the shot looks a little canned, especially the "sad" face affected by the Dad.
Maybe he's got a bet going with somebody.
I have a 5yr old boy and 3yr old girl. They are constantly fighting and she would not sit back and let her brother do something like that without some kind of retribution. I know there is a more drastic age difference and all kids are different. I'm going to chill out on this and let it play out, because I was raging mad when I saw this at work this morning.
Fishy.
But you all are missing the point.
Whether or not the photo was a set-up is not the real issue. I understand certain partison political operatives are claiming the photo was staged, but no one has come forward to challenge the thrust of the story. John Kerry should have to answer the serious questions the photo raises. Remember, there is no definitive proof the scene was set-up. Perhaps the son was just reenacting what he had witnessed another union member do, so his conduct was accurate. Why are we focusing on the identities of the people instead of the photos content? All this talk about set-up is just a distraction.
Dad: If you keep your sign nice and neat, we'll go for ICE CREAM after the parade.
rip, rip, rip, big brother laughs in little girls face
WAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
All this talk about set-up is just a distraction.: )
YES, FINALLY SOMEONE TALKING SENSE!
You're joking, right? Wait - where's the camera? Is this live?
He seems to have a habit of going to Democratic presidential rallies and displaying Republican posters. You may not think that is a good use of YOUR time, but the simplest explanation is the preferred one,and the simplest explanation here is that he is a passionate Republican.
Criticize him for overzealousness, or exploiting his child, or being a kamikaze, but don't make things up out of thin air.
