I finally saw "Journeys with George" tonight (library copy), and what really, really stuck out to me was the one foreign reporter who commented at the end. He said that Gore's pack of reporters didn't trust him and that had affected the way they presented the news. He then said that W had charmed the pants off of them (Bush's pack of reporters). He seemed a bit confused, looking back on it, how it all came about. hehe

Yes, our office is in Charlotte ... only about a mile from the airport. But, alas, I will be immersed in preparing payroll and won't be able to get away ... :-(
I wish I knew what time he was arriving ... I'd try to at least step outside and get a glimpse of Air Force 1.
Btw, how about this picture of a different little girl ...

It was so encouraging to read the word "almost" in your post 29. I've been praying each evening that during the next 24 hours, every plan of the enemy (of natural and of spiritual liberty) to harm any of our soldiers would be pre-empted by the Lord, that He would send His presence and His angels to fend off the attacks and render them null before they can strike our troops. I need to pray that for the Iraqi people too.

hey Jalapeno! That photo is quite outrageous and it deserves HUGE coverage. I noticed on the other thread they were commenting on the little boy standing there with his fists clenched - I wonder if that is the little girl's brother? Very upsetting...

They have a calendar of sorts at georgewbush.com. It gives a time of 3:45 eastern for the "Focus on Women's Issues" with President Bush event. No hours given for the evening reception.

Here's the caption for the "W" girl: "Madison Long, 6, of Rochester, Minnesota, wears her hair braided into the letter 'W' at a campaign rally for President George W. Bush in Rochester, September 16."

Wouldn't it be great if the President would send a signed picture or an autographed sign to this little girl.

The pictures are wonderful - thanks, rintense!

Must tell you, my friend in MI was also at the Holland rally, and sent me their local newspaper with that wonderful BIG picture of you and your friend holding up the "Holland Loves Bush" sign. You look absolutely fantastic!

**A couple of pound.....Too many stops for sweets along the trail and sitting on a bus will do that!
OTOH....He's still looking good. **
I agree a few days ago I posted on the dose my feelings regarding the junk food both he and the VP have been seen eating on the trail. My point of view has once again been reinforced today by 2 separate articles on UK TV today.
First of all we had an article that because of staff shortages twice this week a school has sent out to MacDonald's to provide lunch. This has produced a flood of complaints because it is a time that the Government is trying to introduce healthy eating in schools including free fruit for pupils. In fact GWB got favorably quoted in this article as being anti fatty food and pro exercise - wonders never cease.
The worrying factor though stated was that Britain was now second in the world to the US in obesity figures. Both of our countries need to do something or the next generation is going to be very unhealthy and will inevitable put further economic strain on both countries apart from the personal suffering to people and their families which in many cases can be avoided.
The second article was on sausages which we are all aware unless you pay a fortune for them are just full of rubbish worrying factor here was that they were actually serving the most unhealthy ones in a hospital.
My comment here is that last week Dick Cheney visited a Sausage company and some of them were taken back on the buss for lunch. He even indicated he was going to eat some. I really think that the Bush/Cheney campaign needs to look at the image they are portraying during this election regarding food. Over the years of his Presidency GWB has been an advocate of healthy eating now because of image "man of the people" some of the business good examples of what certain policies are achieving he is seen eating this sort of food.
Without going over the top maybe one every couple of weeks OK but one week it seemed everyday some rubbish was being been bought/consumed by him or the VP. Can't they find some fitness or fruit/vegetable businesses?
Well thats my rant over and must look at practicing what I am preaching myself.
