Here's a "woman's perspective" on your post (and I am definitely a woman!!)
I have read and re-read your post half a dozen times. I am very literate and highly educated.
I have no idea what you are talking about!!!
Could you give us some examples so we can respond intelligently to your post?
Thanks! GG

So, you don't want to solve the problem, you just want to whine about it and play that "I shouldn't have to tell you why, you should know!" game.
How useful is that? Can you at least point us toward the thread that ticked you off?

It sounds like someone (male) offended you here at FR. As a guy I'm sorry to hear that. Frankly, I think many of the things said on FR aren't very bright -- but I don't let those comments get to me either.

Because no matter what, we love ya! :-)
And besides, that's what they taught us in the boy scouts!

Don't worry your pretty little head about it, honey.

How do you know the sex of anyone on this board who doesn't reveal his or her sex, and even then, they might be, as anywhere on the Internet, making it up? As far as I'm concerned 60 percent of posters here could be female.I'm guessing that she feel offended that the guys want to see the obligatory pic of Ann Coulter, or Peggy Noonan when they do an op/ed piece. Sheesh, don't all folks from both sexes --- no GENDERS --- appreciate an attractive looking individual with brains? Oh well, I guess this is what makes the World-Go-Round. Too many PC insecure folks waling around.

LOL. My favorite post. Thank you.
To: GatorGirl
Thank you for saying that.
I wanted to say the same thing, but since I'm a male, I would likely been attacked for being 'mean' if I questioned the original post.
Honestly, I couldn't really detect a point. I detected a lot of anger, but nothing really of substance.

Since she won't answer we have to assume a few things. The only post that relates to this rant is her response as follows...
"I don't doubt any of that! My comments were directed to finalapproach29er for his sexist crack about women being "especially selfish." I just love generalized smears against a entire group of people based on the actions of one .
If that's enough to prompt this unclear rant and snide one line response...well you can come to your own conclusions.
Ironic that a rant about generalizations follows a rant about generalizations.

I'm a conservative woman who has been on FreeRepublic since 1998. The difference between you and me is that I understand that everybody's sense of humor is different. There are posts I think are hysterical and others I think are juvenile. WHAT THE HECK DO I CARE? I come here, get my news, let off steam and connect with others who have the same political ideals as I do. By the way, there are many, many women here. More than I think you know.Hey Hildy, You're like my lovely wife of 33 years. We roll with the punches and accept folks for who the are, become mildly uncomfortable at sexist remarks from both genders; but we put these issues into perspective and enjoy life.

"Because so many men are so busy being macho that they refus to embrace a woman's perspective on issues." Soooo....let me get this straight....the men are NOT supposed to be MEN, (macho) but they are supposed to "embrace a woman's perspective on issues."
You are a closet feminist....and you know it....that there is right out of the handbook.... "embrace a woman's perspective."
Men say stupid/dumb things all the time...."chest beating and "pissing" so, if they are not "perfect" then they are "less evolved?"
If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.....conservatives don't pander much to each other.

Nobody's going to be able to help you if nobody knows exactly what got you riled. You've made some vague references to macho, sexist, primate... yeah, there are some boneheads floating around this forum, but they're easily ignored, at least in my experience.
So what's up? I'm intrigued.

That's one thing that's always amused me about humans in general. Men can't say squat to women, but we can say almost anything we want to men and its okay. Why is that?
I don't think it's any big mystery. Men are physically bigger and stronger, and can be more "predatory" in their desires for conquest of others, especially women. It means we have to be more careful about what we say, because we'll be interpreted in that light. Don't you agree? Have I misunderstood something?
