A Conservative Woman Speaks
Me

Posted on 09/16/2004 7:25:35 PM PDT by 2-in-Texas

You know, I've been a member of FR since before the 2000 election. I have not always agreed with the posts of the male-dominated membership in FR, but I have appreciated the positions of each and every one of you. But it has become very clear to me during this 2004 campaign why many women cannot embrace the conservative and/or Republican agenda. I have been since Nixon, and will remain one despite the predominance of the sexist condescension of a large group of Republican men. So let's get down to the bare bones of the situation, okay? And I really couldn't care less about the flames and insults that the lower domination of the FR membership will inflict on me for this little tirade of mine. There are so, so many women just like me who fervently believe in the ideals of the Republican and George W. Bush. We may recognize the lack of a female perspective in some issues, but we grasp the overall concept and recognize it as our own core values. We have basically learned to pick our battles. We share the views of conservative men in regards to our need for a superior military defense, a belief in the need for personal accountability and responsibility, a eff-you attitude towards our former French and Canadian and other similar so-called "allies," a need to defy the wimpy attitudes of those utopian countries who are in total denial about the condition of the world today and the necessarily severe actions necessary to ensure the survival of a righteous and moral world. We're out here, guys, and we feel just as strongly about these values as you do even if we don't feel the need to express them with your chest-beating and neverending pissing contests.

So in the midst of your extemely intelligent, compassionat idealogy, the less evolved of you start spouting your sexist and primate idealogy that becomes such a total turn-off to so many women who believe in your core values. Why do most women vote liberal? Because so many men are so busy being macho that they refus to embrace a woman's perspective on issues. You won't deter me or a very, very large group of women just like me. We are a very large and growing block of voters, and to grow that base, you need to recognize our different perspectives on the same core values. Stop pushing us away, and embrace our contributions. We are not so different, only the way God intends us to be. There's a reasons for differences, and they are for the greater good.

So hit me with your best shot. I will probably never post here again. And know this: I believe in George W. Bush, and will always be a conservative woman, although I'll probably be searching for another venue to share my beliefs.

Years ago there was some list going around titled "Reasons why it's great to be a man" or similar title, and one of the items on the list said something like, "You can get really, really furious at somebody without everybody dismissing it as 'hormonal'".

My personal definition of a feminist has always been that of a woman who is angry about not getting enough fun when the lights are out.

Ok, so my definition included pictures of people like Patricia Ireland...so you took me somewhere I'd rather not go. Yecccchh!

Got your period, did ya?

LOL I think you hit the nail on the head.

I have refrained from flaming in an effort to get in touch with my "feminine side"...enough of that, back to male...but this poster is a psycho. After ranting over what appears to be a relatively harmless statement she refuses to explain why she's acting like an idiot. Is that what she meant by being more sensitive? If so I'll stay hard.

Screw this wacky wench. Who cares why she's mad and who cares if she never posts again.

Feels much better being "male." :^)

Read your FReepmail, or my profile, and then tell me again to get in touch with my brain.

But then again, you probably think that everyone who doesn't tell you that you are right is ignorant. Not that is what I call typical.

"LOL. My favorite post. Thank you."

I like the scrappy Texan thing you have going on. There's only hippie chicks here in nyc. If you were here I would take you out two steppin' right now. Yeah, screw this typing in cyberspace. I want to go two steppin.'

Now that you're back on the air, hopefully you'll give us some pointers to the FR threads that illustrate your point....

But remember, she's never posting on FR again, so she can't illustrate her point.

Then again, for someone who is vowing never to post here, she sure is sticking around for a long time.

I appreciate your point of view and I'm glad you stated your positions, although I'm not sure I understand your concerns.

Let's look at it this way: This is a very serious "game" and I think our competitive nature is showing as the election draws near. We want to "win." We're getting emotionally charged and passionate.

I like conservatives. I love conservative women. Nothing sexist, just a fact.

So if I understand the gist of your post, women are eager to sell themselves, their children and their country into Socialist-Fascist slavery, just because men are pigs?

Damn, I guess that it's because I'm a less evolved sexist primate, but that makes no sense to me at all.

Sorry.

NO BLOOD FOR KETCHUP!

Good points you make. The complaints of feminists seem to all boil down to,
"Why, oh why, can't men be more like women?!!?"

Most of the time I think this is very amusing, such as that news blurb last year about a proposed Swedish law to remove urinals from public men's restrooms.

But OTOH, when you read about our own public education system trying to force feminine behavior on boys from the earliest age, you realize the issue is deadly serious.

...you need to recognize our different perspectives on the same core values...

Articulate specifics, please.

I really don't believe that you are a regular member.

The views that you claim to see are simply not present. Oh, there are the exceptions, but honestly, you seem to have quite an unusual additude concerning the opposite gender.

What a person thinks and believes is what they think and believe. Do you wish that they wouldn't express themselves? True freedom is the ability to be yourself and live your life as fully as possible with a minimum of constraints placed on you by government.

I suggest you relax and get in touch with your inner sister. Let people be themselves and stop acting like a socialist.

Geez, girl, you are so clueless.

That I am. I bow before your feminist wisdom. Teach me, oh 2-in-Texas, that I may be as witty and clueful as you! (I'll never aspire to be a man-hater as you appear to be, though.)

I suggest you relax and get in touch with your inner sister.

So how come no one ever says to a woman, "You need to get in touch with your masculine side"?

Looks like a double standard to me.
