CBS would have a tough time saying Burkett acted alone, because they called their source "unimpeachable"

This is old news. Everyone knows that Howlin and Buckhead conspired to fool CBS News.
"Strategery," the two were quoted as saying when asked for comment.

CBS News producer, "We're sunk. We've been taken by the Republican's dirty tricks".
Oh, please, let them take that tactic. If we thought that Zell's resounding condemnation of the DNC wasn't good enough, this will bring more 'adults' onto our side, in droves. Everyone who worked in or near an office in the 1970's and 1980's knows what a typewriter is and can see at a glance if something appears to be from one.
"We were taken in," won't ring true when anyone can look and see that the memos are as real as a four dollar bill. The Koolaid Klass won't understand, being weened on computers, but the rest will.
Another good thing is that this will ring poorly overseas. Europeans shrug at scandals, so long as there is admittal. Continue denying, and it just gets worse. Even if Europeans believed the memos to be true, they'll lose respect with the claim that they were duped.
Win, win, and win. Keep it up, SeeBS.

DUmmies...
We need to continue to pounce on the fact that they are not refuting the content of these documents, just the documents themselves.
To: Barnstormer
You were a good sailor, so nobody ever felt the need to give you an order in writing.Nah.. I don't think that was it. I drank too much, swore too much, and really liked the ladies... oh, wait. Yeah! I guess I was a good sailor! (heh heh heh)
Actually, the skywriting idea is pretty funny! Now, if we could just figure out how to get a plane to sky write in Times New Roman!

CBS News producer, "We're sunk. We've been taken by the Republican's dirty tricks". Paraphrased, Rush commenting on "The Prowler" reporting for American Spectator. New ad for the Bush campaign: "Hey, if we're this good don't you want us to be fighting the War On Terror in this, the Information Age?"

I figure...by the time all 9 of them troop in with their baggage, bedding etc......WHO will even REALIZE the floor hasn't been vacuumed. I should get extra points for creativity, dontcha think?

CBS does NOT call the source for the forgeries "unimpeachable," at least not lately. They are being very slippery, and refer to OTHER documents from "unimpeachable sources." My theory is this is just a reference to the officially released Guard docs which form a background for the story. I think the real supposed sources of the story are K's secretary and Burkette, not the forgeries.

I hope CBS holds a news conference instead of reporting it on CBS, because no one will be watching CBS but their nervous stockholders.

Hey! That's what you need! Talk to AV man, and get him to wire up a TV for the hottub!
