The easiest thing to do is to pull CBS's press credentials and suspend their license until the investigation into fraud is complete.
This way CBS can continue to do the evening news, however instead of the evening news they can call it "Todays DNC talking points"

She's definitely a pretty vile Bush-hater - we know that for sure - so there's a good chance she is a Democrat.

While we're waiting, here's my guess why the fake memos were created:
I used to think there was nothing new in the memos, so why would they be forged. Now I realize what they are trying to do. What do you think of this:
- Fact: Bush was due for a physical by end of July, but transferred to Alabama to work on a congressional race and missed his physical because he wasn't planning on flying anymore
- Fact: The official evaluation from 1973 says that the Texas officers were not able to evaluate Bush for the period in question because he left the base on May 15, 1973.
These are the facts. Bush's detractors have long tried to imply that Bush missed his physical to avoid a drug test. But the timeline does not work to their advantage, since the physical was not due until months after Bush went to Alabama. Thus, the memos were created for the purpose of:
- May 4, 1972 forged memo says Bush has until May 14 to get his physical.
- Bush did not get the physical by May 14, as evidenced in the May 19 forged memo.
- Bush left Texas on May 15, so obviously he must have been making a quick get away from the Guard because he was worried about the drug test.
Kitty Kelley is also pushing the DNC talking point that Bush didn't take the physical to avoid a drug test. These forged memos alter the timeline to make their story seem credible.
To repeat, the whole purpose of these memos is to give credence to the Bush was doing cocaine in the National Guard lies that the DNC wants to use to either demoralize Bush's base, or force Bush to go into great detail on all of Bush's young and irresponsible days.
In reality, in 1972, there was no regular drug testing implemented as part of the annual flight status physical, from what I've heard.

More proof about what? That they are dishonest partisan hacks with an agenda?

Rumor is they are standing firm. I sure hope so. The deeper they dig themselves in, the better for truth, justice, and the American way.

Well, according to my litmus test, if someone says "Bush was selected, not elected" then odds are, they are a 'rat.Missed the "nuance" in her statement. Series...I didn't know she said that. Yet another koolaid drinker...At her age it's not nutritious.

Worth noting that the underlying premise that Bush didn't take a flight readiness physical is pretty thin soup to begin with. Even the fake memo telling Bush to take his physical by a certain date seems more administrative than an order to take the next hill.
By he way, Kerry himself claims to have resisted orders to go out on combat patrols in nam, and claims he bitched to Zumwalt about it, also that the men were starting to mutiny and refuse to go out on missions. Which is worse?

Maybe more IBM typewriter repair men?

I fail to see how they can offer evidence which legitimizes the forged documents.

Still waiting for their statement.
Maybe they are looking for the 1970 IBM selectric to type them up. LOL

CBS has an agenda to defeat Bush. To accomplish that they must keep pushing this story until the story itself becomes news.
