My prediction: "We stand by the information on Bush's guard service, but in order to protect our source, CBS retyped the memos."

Tbey are still waiting for DEFINITIVE proof that Blather is an idiot and a commie symp. The PREPONDERANCE OF EVIDENCE is not quite good enough.

Rumor is they are standing firm. Predictable. However, it'll be interesting to see the MSM reaction to this stance. Even now, before the statement, the NYT, WaPo, and LAT have already started turning on good 'ol Dan.

I predict CBS will blame the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush for tricking Dan Rather.

What could they possibly have to say? They've said that they stand behind the original report and are not conducting an investigation.

Karl Rove faxed us the documents...yeah, that's right, that mean ol' Karl Rove sent them to us...oh, you don't believe that one? Okay, they came from aliens...that's right, space aliens...their flying saucer landed right outside the CBS Broadcast Center on West 57th, and these little green men rushed in with these national guard documents...oh you don't believe that, either? Well, then, it must have been....
