The originator of the online discrediting of the Killian memos identifed himself only as 'Buckhead,' but a little sleuthing on the website pulls up his other postings and thus a lot more about him.
On the site, (MSNBC displays FreeRepublic.com page with the Buckhead posting) Buckhead claims he is a lawyer from the Atlanta area who participated last month in a meeting of lawyers for Bush-Cheney, an organization he said will be called upon in the event there are election irregularities and everyone winds up in court again.
He says he was worked for a Congressman prominent in GOP legal circles down in Georgia.
So the Killian documents come out and are almost immediately questioned by a lawyer with Republican ties and are distributed to other news organiztions without comment by the White House and they nly have one of their principal endorsers (Bobby Hodges) retract his endorsement.

Proper etiquette is to ping a freeper if you mention him in a post.
Wow - how interesting that someone who is a regular poster on FR might have ties to the Republican party. I'm amazed! Wait - I bet he has an internet connection too!
ping a roo!
I guess by implication, Olbermann is a democrat hack because he is attacking a GOP Bush supporter. He must have their talking points because that is exactly what the DIMs are doing.
NEWS FLASH!!!! Freepers are REPUBLICANS... Oh My GOD!! Who would have thought..
Major Vast Right Wing Conspiracy...but dont fret...it doesnt matter if their forged...its what they say..LOL
In other news, Olbermann has ascertained that Jim Robinson is an individual named Jim Robinson and that he may come from the "California area" due to the misleading timestamps on FR posts.
LOL
Keith go back to ESPN, nah better yet, just stay where you are where no one knows you.
Gosh if this a VRWC why oh why is Dan willing to fall on his sword?
This is just silly!
You know it wouldn't matter if Karl Rove had given them the memos.
He didn't make them put them on 60 minutes.
Then 100,000 FReepers step forth and proclaim:
"I AM BUCKHEAD!"
Sorry BH, I ain't learned to ping yet.
Olberman is a jackass who should go back to reporting sports scores. What is so ominous and mysterious about a Republican lawyer not taking CBS's sloppily researched nonsense at face value? Uh, nothing. By the way, Keith--CBS is still claiming the memos are for real so you and the other Rove-obsessed dorks better get on the same page.
How can one search for Buckhead's ( or anyones) posts?
Does anybody really think a Democrat would have pointed out the forgery?
oh god... ITS A CONSPIRACY!! THE RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY TWISTED DAN RATHER'S ARM TO RUN THE BOGUS STORY!
Do you mean to tell me that JimRob really ISN'T Eric Clapner???
Dang, now you got me all confused.
Moron.
If someone was going to seed this story and didn't want it traced, they could have created a new account. Duh.
