So obvious are the CBS Rathergate forgeries, the other leftwing media are now growing concerned that Dan Rather's too sloppy hit piece will be used against them.
The Washington Post, on page 8a, has now come out with a very compelling article establishing the documents as a hoax.
Tongiht on MSNBC, Howard Fineman was extremely critical of CBS and Dan Rather for their stonewalling.
The NYT's William Safire blasted Rather today in a highly personel way.
After watching document thief Sandy Berger skate after being caught red handed, Dan Rather may have been overconfident. The evidence against him is so overwhelming that his long time friends are not willing to risk their own limited credibility by standing with their Dan.
The fat lady is getting willing to sing.
Hang in their Dan! Keep the story alive! You are further destroying credibility of the leftwing media and the candidate you love, John Kerry. Hang in their for a few more humiliating days.

You are absolutely right. Also, Newsweek has been doing their own investigation and are coming out with it this week. Since Newsweek and WashPost are the same company, it will probably be an expansion of the good story the Post has tomorrow.

The leftwing media has figured out that they can painlessly trash Dan Rather. It helps their own ratings, hurts his. On top of that, for the next 10 years they will remind anyone who accuses them of bias that they trashed Rather.
They figure there is no point in defending Kerry anyway. Kerry is French toast.

Jump the shark came from an episode of Happy Days when Fonzie actually jumps a shark. It means a something has lost all redeeming value. Maybe someone should make a picture of Dan actually jumping the shark. heh heh heh
