Howlin started a Live Thread September 10, 2004 to see what Dan would say. He told us his report was the facts and nothing but the facts.
Well, it is now Monday, the 13th. What will Dan say today?
Does anyone remember what aircraft the Alabama ANG was flying at the time? I'm getting ready to send a "nasty" to Mara.
Rather will be gone before October.

What's his voice sound like and his general demeanor?
I won't bet my FReeper account on it but apologies should I believe go to Frank Zappa!
It is said that the song was about the practice of Black Americans wearing colorful garb during the early 1970's. IE, neon green, red, yellow, slacks,etc....
You could see it in his eyes. Dan knows he was lying his ass off. He practically mumbled his way through that segment (Well he always mumbles, but tonight he had a reason.) Kudos to Fox for keeping the pressure on. Brit is da MAN.
He must have served with Captain Tuttle from that M*A*S*H episode.
my letter to cbs:
'HOW DARE you stick with that stupid story about Bush's Guard service, and how dare you continue to impugn the integrity of the President of the United States with such obvious propaganda. Stuff your stupid questions of the White House and make Dan Rather GO.
I am now calling up the sponsors AND the FCC. And a lawyer.'
LOL, I think of young master Epstein whenever Juan Williams is on.
I just want to yell out, "Little Juan".
(I hope we're all having the same flashback)
What's his voice sound like and his general demeanor?
He looks a lot like the DNC candidate, what's his name?
This Killian guy seems to me to be your typical girly-man admin type who was really taken by pretty looking paper-work. I bet he told his wing-man many times that he couldn't wait to put his bird back down on the deck so that he could get back to his desk and churn out some more letter prefect memos to his boss.
Like all fighter jocks he knew how he was going to get his next promotion, and it sure wasn't going to be by flying around with afterburners cut in.
What was that "technical expert" crap.
Expert of what? Dude is most likely not an expert on the subject they were talking about.
He was most likely a computer guy from CBS
AMAZING HOW THEY WON'T LET THE HANDWRITING EXPERT, THAT THEY FIRST CITED AS THEIR EXPERT, COME OUT AND ADDRESS THE ISSUE.
I don't even think they showed the guy.
FNC says CBS is ordering him not to do any interviews.
Turns out the guy is just a handwriting expert. Not expert on Type face.
'What's his voice sound like and his general demeanor?'
Like "Night of the Living Dead".
Rather may have dismissed us but I, for one, am not budging. I'm emailing everyone I know regarding boycotting CBS and its advertisers and am calling and writing advertisers everyday. I accidentally heard O'Reilly because I still had the radio on outside from earlier today - but I boycott him too. (Notice how Hannity & Colmes beat him in the TV ratings recently? Yes!) What else can be done to take these bozos on?
I wish I was as optimistic, but the only way he'll be gone by then is if he accepts an official position with the DemonRATic campaign (IMHO, there's a better chance that the Kerry/Edwards ticket won't be intact come October).
Sounds like this Blah Blah furump, furump, rhetoric, rhetoric, screech ,screech, lie, lie, lie, grind ,grind, dodge and weave, dodge and weave. Now ya remember?
If so, then it should be a simple matter to find the '70s era machine that had all those capabilities, recreate the memo on said machine, (WITHOUT having to resort to a lot of manipulations that wouldn't ordinarily be employed) and do the photoshop trick to toggle back and forth between the "original" and the machine-created one. If it matches as closely as the MS Word version, we all have egg on our faces and crow to eat. Until then, it's a forgery.
And another thing that Bush needs to prove is that he ever served on duty with the Air Force. A set of orders is one thing, but given the questions we have raised about Bush's ability to follow orders, we just don't think that that is good enough. [/sarcasm]
