Don't you just love how the Dem's shoot themselves in the foot so often.

I can't wait to hear the DNC say they were set up once again by Karl Rove!

If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

Great! Now Dan Rather is gonna jump on THIS story. Nice going.

If Kerry tries to peddle this slop to the National Guard, he'll be booed off the stage.

That should happen just on general principle.

I was active duty USAF from 1983 to 1992 and Il Air National Guard from 1992 to 1994. When I was in Basic Training we were taught about the "Total Force" concept. In other words, the total force of the USAF included the National Guard and the Reserves. It should be in the training manuals.

During the time that President Bush was flying for the ANG at Ellington, that whole group was under Air Defense Command (ADC) out of Ent AFB, CO. Last time I checked ADC, as known in those days, was all active duty Air Force.

Air Force is one service that have activated Reserve and Guard units for years and in some cases, the Guard and Reserves are active duty all the time like the Reserve Squadron of C-5's out of Lackland AFB and the F-16 TANG group at Lackland AFB. A lot of their people are their full time and are part of the active force even though they are Reserve or ANG. The Tulsa ANG was deployed many times to fly the no-fly zone in Iraq.

I worked with a Lt Colonel, USAFR, who was an active duty L/C but when he retired under a Reserve program he was going to be a Full Colonel. Cannot remember the name of the program BTW. At that time they had the choice of staying Reserve for their years or going over to the Regular AF. Some stayed Reserve because they could then take AF Civil Service appointments and not get penalized on their retirement.

This latest attack of Pres Bush not being in the Air Force really bugs me out of the RATs. I know nothing about the other services but I know when our Mobilization Assistants came to our Command they were on ACTIVE DUTY while there and they were not Regular AF.

Just a thought but, the dems are now saying Bush lied about being the Air Force. However, one of their prima facia proofs that Bush did not fulfill his TANG obligations is a memo (forged) that orders him to fulfill his flight physical IAW AFM 35-16 (Air Force Manual 35-16).
If in fact then they believed Bush lied stating he was in the Air Force, then to be consistent, the reference to an Air Force Manual being the authority for those orders must be a lie.
Thus they have provided their own proof of the forgery.

Kerry needs to tell us what the "USNR-R" means on his
enlistment papers. In particular that first "R".

While he's at it, he can tell us exactly what assignment
he thought he was signing up for (it wasn't Swift boats,
and it wasn't Vietnam - those came later when he thought,
mistakenly, that transferring to PCFs was a reasonably
safe way to get some "PT Boat" time on the 'ol resume).

In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."

I'm shocked...shocked, I say... that Kerry stole Bush's line !

Just like "Wrong war" etc, Kerry doesn't even have the wits or speechwriters to come up with anything original. Mr MeTooMeToo

Well, I'm harkening back to '71 when I knew several members of the Montana Air Guard while in technical training at Lowry AFB in Denver. I was regular USAF and they were obviously ANG, but the general conversation was that they were "active duty USAF", chain of command was "ATC" not Guard and uniforms were all identical. They had NO insignias indicating they were Air Guard at all.

And the dems wonder why they can't win elections? It is just beyond me what bozos these people are if they think this stuff works. It's sad and laughable at the same time.

I've been donating money to the Swiftvets. If the Dems keep this up, I might just cut out the middleman. The way they keep digging themselves in deeper, I'm just going to go to the hardware store, buy a truckful of shovels, and mail them to the DNC.

How shrewd of the DNC to do this the same week Kerry goes to speak to the National Guard Assn.

Were you being sarcastic?

OMG all these comments are pissing off any and all National Guard member.

If we can get a live broadcast of this meeting you can bet he will be booed out of there, if they don't all boycott the meeting. My question is who in their right mind allowed Kerry to be scheduled to speak to the National Guard Assn. And I don't mean from the Kerry side.

I am with in that same time period. AF uniforms all look alike to me from AF/AFR/ANG. Our Mobilization Assistant was promoted to Brig General in the Reserves and had his pinning on ceremony in our office. Just dug out the picture. His uniform was identical to my boss' who was Regular AF -- cannot tell the difference.

Only reason you can tell on flight suits is that everyone has the patch of their unit on them. ANG from Kelly along with the C-5 Reserve pilots were always having lunch at the Kelly AFB (now Lackland AFB) Golf Course -- best hamburgers around if you ask me! :) Some of them were full-time active duty but you couldn't even tell that by their flight suit just the unit!

Kerry is desperate now.. he's down on the polls and we're not letting him get away with anything. He has now co-opted the lunitic left fringe to create his propoganda in a last ditch effort to lie to the base and re-engerize the hate-fest. Estrich told us what they were going to pull so we have the script. The key now is to carefully watch who is pushing Kerry's propoganda from here through the election... CBS.. NBC.. and call them on it when we can.

We have the truth and the new media. The war is on.
