The first shot, heard 'round the world, has already been fired. They claim to be disciplined, the mightiest media army ever to take the field in the history of the world. They dismiss us as dull farmers, rebels and rabble, of no worth and limited talent.
They claim they will defeat us handily and drive us from the intellectual field of battle. The opposite is true. Our first great victory will be the downfall of Dan Rather. It'll be just like the first great victory of the American Revolution in the Battle of Saratoga.
General John Burgoyne ("Gentleman Johnny") was a man of limited talent but towering vanity. He attacked when he should not have, because he assumed that no mere Colonials could possibly defeat him. And in that arrogance lay the seeds of his defeat -- and ultimately the defeat of the entire British military establishment.
Parallels between Gentleman Johnny and Dan Rather are not coincidental, but instead are a very clear and objective lesson to anyone who has the perception to learn from experience.

You can say we were 'misled' about the Iraq war, we will point you to the multiple reasons action in Iraq was necessary and the world community pledging agreement on their resolutions.
You can say G.W. was selected not elected, we can demonstrate the illegal act of the Florida court supporting the Dems attempt to selectively count Dem districts to turn out fraudulent votes to put Gore over the top. We can point out your aid in announcing Florida for Gore, before the entire state had voted.
You can say under Clinton we experienced a time of unmatched peace and prosperity, we can point to multiple terrorists attacks against our country & the revealed corporate fraud and recession that begun before Clinton left office.
You can say those killing our soldiers are 'freedom fighters', we'll spit in your face and call them what they are- murderers.
You can say you are relevant, we say with the abundance of discussion forums, blogs, and talk radio connecting us in real time to the events of the day, that you are the dinosaur.
You can say we need you, we say YOU need us to validate your self worth.
