Good post, He doesn't pretend to be connected, although he could be I suppose. But in the least he seems to be able to think like al qaeda (and that's why I like him).*******

I had thought the same thing myself. He was interesting to chat with. You know this is a scary thought we talked with this guy on the net and found him ok. Yet his kind want us dead mind blowing!
Yep.
Some of my trees are already in Autumn mode.
It will be a harder winter than last year, I believe.
I want to go too!:)
I think what got me about Traveller was him talking about his little girl. I always go soft when men talk about there kids.

I WISH! It was in the middle 80's today ONLY because Hurricane Ivan is keeping things stormy today and tomorrow. Then the temps will go up again. Sheeeeeesh.
This bomb, missing off the coast of Savannah, was discussed on an earlier thread. Apparently it has been found.

When Security Council Violates the UN Charter
Hassan Tahsin
The UN Security Council, tasked with the protection and maintenance of international peace and security, was established to enforce the aims and principles of the United Nations. And the councils decisions are, most of the time, in accordance with those lofty aims. However, the situation has changed after the world came to live under the new world order. Under this new dispensation, the Security Council has lost its objectivity and its decisions have come to serve the interests of larger countries.

MOSCOW Russia and the United States see eye to eye on fighting terrorism, Russia's defense minister said yesterday, while reiterating that Moscow reserves the right to carry out pre-emptive strikes on militant bases abroad in the wake of the school-hostage seizure in Beslan.
Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov did not say what countries might be possible targets for a strike, but Russian officials have said Chechen separatists have bases in nearby Georgia, and Russia has had friction with that country's government over the issue.

ISTANBUL, Turkey -- A suspected leader of a cell accused in deadly suicide attacks in Turkey boasted Monday that he was an "al-Qaida warrior" and warned in court of future attacks if Turkey continued to support the United States.
Defendant Harun Ilhan told the court that he and two other suspected ringleaders who remain at large -- Habib Akdas and Gurcan Bac -- were behind the November bombings that left 61 people dead in Istanbul.

Yep.
Riley is a very beautiful baby. Obviously very good genetics. Hoping her momma is over those blue days she had a while back. Riley's eyes are so expressive. That hair is worth a thousand words - so cute! JP, you are a lucky grandma!
Good points EXCEPT that this is a conventional military exercises, not UW. If we have to mix it up w/ Iran, we will need to deal with their conventional forces first.
I'm trying to follow up and get some of that data. There is strong probablity of ONE incident/blast being recorded. There has been less support for the second event / seismic record. I can't give full credability to some of the Korean media sources reporting until I can get some independent verification. However, if it was in support of a dam construction, that had to be one mondo explosion(s).
OPINION - Note to LayoutGuru2: Most of the sites in here have links that are 404 and most of the propaganda is from 2003, but there is some 2004 stuff tossed in. The links at the bottom contain new material. Of course, I am basing my opinion on dates, links, etc found on the page. I do not read Arabic.

bump
I heard that there was speculation that it may have fallen out of a departing plane. Lots of Horizon shuttles departing PDX, bumpy ride the two times I've used the commuter flight to SEA-TAC. I imagine something like this would have been noticed right away though. Also heard that they have IDed the owner.
Also in Portland, Oregon...
