For what it is worth, here is a link to a similar article posted on FR a few days ago; I have seen this article on many other boards as well. Just do a simple google search on the article title in Mossad1967's post.

Maybe our guys really didn't force those prisoners to wear panties on there head. It is just muslim tradition.

There's cerainly room for alternative underwear under their traditional men's clothing........

I'm proud of you for doing that JP. They need to know they have our support. Heaven knows they sure don't hear it in our news reports or from those anti-war activists who make them out to be something they are not.

They try to escape from N. Korea

China penalized for selling technology to Iran - they sell to more than Walmart that's for sure

Maybe a familiarization flight or dry run for some type of deployment plan?

They must have their advance men, advance military and advance security all over your area to sweep, practice and prepare.

I hope GWB knocks the socks off of his debate opponent (the orange prune) tomorrow. :)

As a result of the penalties, the U.S. government cannot go ahead with transactions with these companies, issue any new licenses and must suspend licenses that may have been issued for high-technology items controlled by the United States.

Boucher said 23 companies have now been punished under this law, but said he could not be specific about whether the cases involved transfer of unconventional weapons technology or missile technology.

Boucher also would not say whether it was unusual for a company from Spain, a NATO ally, to be on the list.

"Globally if we find somebody in whatever place that's violating the law, shipping the technology, then we apply the law," he said.

***I must ask M'Dear, how stringent are the punishments?

And then the big bucks are going to terrorists to fund their evil.

And we help them in this country LilJ, we supply them with the buildings to hold their conference, conventions in to raise these funds! So in essence this country is funding them to attack us IMHO!

Yes, I've been following this situation for awhile.
No surprise (at least to me) that China has taken
this mining operation over.

Thanks for the link.

My buddy and I agree with you. He's a retired E-8 Airborne Ranger with twelve years in a Ranger Battalion. They're running rehearsals and timed runs and probably "touch and go's" at some of the designated LZ's. That's probably why the BlackHawk dropped so low over my portable but didn't actually touch down. I don't know whether to feel worried or reassured.

Diplomat Questioned After Photographing Natural Gas Terminal

Aug 31, 2004 11:15 am US/Eastern

A high-level Russian diplomat was questioned and released after he was seen taking pictures of a liquefied natural gas terminal on the Calvert County waterfront.

The man, who has not been identified, has been living in the United States for six years.

State Police officials say the man's actions seemed very innocent. Lieutenant Homer Rich says the man appeared to be taking pictures of the Chesapeake Bay and wildlife with the gas terminal in the background.

Police were alerted after someone called 911.

Residents and state lawmakers have raised concerns that the liquid natural gas facility could be targeted by terrorists.

The facility is near the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.

WJZ's Alex DeMetrick will have more on the heightened state of security around sensitive facilities tonight on Eyewitness News.

I would be reassured.

The mere fact they are practicing touch and goes means they have assets ready and available to respond within minutes.

Thats pretty cool.

I hope they have a NEST team. I seriously doubt there will be anybody who is able to penetrate the actual site security. But you remember the old saw: Close only counts in Horseshoes, hand grenades and......?
