Chgo was profiled in that show and Great Lakes was the scene for the nuke in Michigan, well it was a realistic show
Now if they can successfully prosecute the Taliban-recruiter and keep him imprisoned (unlike the 2 Imans who get 2 months). Some of the sentences given these people are nothing short of a joke. Slapping their hands is sheer stupidity - it only serves to make them even more angry and hateful of us.

You're welcome - would think the list of speakers will show up somewhere after it is prepared (perhaps they have not lined up all their speakers in the 2-1/2 weeks since their deadline - OR - they know who they are but don't want advance publicity to cause problems. These conferences have been cancelled elsewhere so they are probably walking on thin ice getting this organized and insuring it will actually occur.
Not terror related (I don't think), but the headline in the Rapid City (SD) Journal this morning reads:
"PLAGUE FOUND IN PRAIRIE DOG"
Article states that sylvatic plague is the same organism as bubonic plague.

Website claims hostage is dead

A POSTING on an Islamic Internet site today said that an al-Qaeda-linked group had killed British hostage Kenneth Bigley.
The claim could not immediately be verified, but surfaced on a website usually used by followers of Jordanian terror mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to post their statements.
The site also said seven British troops had been captured.
However, Captain Donald Francis, a spokesman for the British military, said that all forces "are accounted for."
He had no information on the claim to have executed the British hostage.
The statement, which appeared on the site typed in red, consisted of a single line. "Tawhid and Jihad announces that it has executed the British citizen and gives you the good news of kidnapping seven British soldiers," the statement said.
"We will be releasing the tape shortly."
The Foreign Office in London said it was aware of such a claim, but described it as a "discredited" site.
"We don't think it's anything to be taken too seriously," the Foreign Office statement said.

The suspected gunman, identified as Kahdir Al Khattab, 26, was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition after being shot by Marion County Sheriff's deputies. He died about six hours later, said Frances Kelly, chief investigator for the Marion County coroner's office.
Kelly said the nature of Al Khattab's wounds would not be known until an autopsy is performed Saturday morning.

• About 9:30 a.m., Friday: Several members of the women’s basketball team are practicing in the fieldhouse. A man is seen watching them practice. At one point he asks for a ball. He watches them for about 40 minutes before being asked to leave.
• Just before 10:29 a.m.: The man leaves the building and is approached by Officer Davis, who asks him for identification and calls in to get information about him.
• 10:29 a.m.: Davis is shot. An unidentified female witness runs into the fieldhouse to seek help after seeing the shooting. Police later say the suspect fled west on foot with the officer’s pistol.
• 10:30-10:45 a.m.: Police respond to the area, and a massive manhunt begins. Police search for the suspect for the next two hours. At least eight schools in the area of the Butler campus are locked down.
• At 12:45 p.m.: Plainclothes Marion County detectives spot a suspect walking south in the 4400 block of North Illinois Street. They ask if they can speak with him. The suspect pulls a gun from his pants and fires at the detectives, who return fire, hitting him three times. A pistol thought to belong to Davis is recovered from the scene. The suspect, later identified as Al-Khattab, is taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he died early Friday evening.

Re- the picture of water you posted.
I was wondering if it might refer to the Flight 800 incident. From what I understand, a small plane loaded with explosives was flown toward TWA Flight 800 over Long Island Sound. A navy missile shot the small plane down, and unfortunately Flight 800 was also hit. Some sources suggest that the small plane was flown over swampy water near NYC, much like depicted in the picture.
A friend of mine who vacations at the Hamptons told me that there are over 270 witnesses who saw the missiles head toward the plane, and the resultant explosions. He also told me that when Sandy Berger was attempting to burglarize the Archives, he was attempting to get material related to this incident out of the Clinton files. I had not heard that one before. He said that Clinton knew that there was a threat of an attack, and covered it up.
