I'm pretty sure that the only way you could get a superscript "th" like that would be to stop typing, exchange balls in the typewriter with smaller font, twitch the carriage advance a bit very carefully, type in the "th," switch balls back again, and then type the rest of the sentence.
Does anyone in his right mind think that someone would do that while writing a private memo for the record?
Moreover, the "th" appears to be in a much smaller font. As I recall, 10 point and 12 point were about all you could get on a typewriter back then.
The "s" is hittin' the fan.

Yesterday I posted several times a link to an IBM typewriter website that purported to show proportional spacing was not possible at the time of these memos. I have used "only" the various iterations of IBM Selectrics myself, beginning in the late 1960's.
MineralMan has shown that I am/was wrong (Ouch!) about the IBM Executive. Others here are showing that at least some of the questions in "the list" can be answered.

Yes ...and there were small specialist companies that would make the IBM Selectric balls in any language, with maths font etc.
During that time frame I was service engineer for a computer system with multiple print outputs in English, various European languages , Greek and Arabic.
each print line was dedicated to a language and needed the correct ball.
For example Greek has 24 letters in the alfabet with additional letters in accents.

2. What case number
3.How did they know these existed
4. How do you get forged docs released
5.Please provide the names of who did not want to release these papers to AP...

That box number shows up in a number of these docs related to Bush's service. I just saw it again on a bunch of doc's linked from KerrySpot (a bunch in PDF).

Now I'm wondering about the timing of all this With Sept 11 tomorrow, the Dems will do anything to keep that date, and the WoT off the networks and off the front pages. They may have done so with this... Hmmm...
