Sharon Bush Denies Kitty Kelley Account
By Howard Kurtz Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, September 9, 2004; Page C01
President Bush's former sister-in-law denied yesterday that she had given author Kitty Kelley any information about allegations of past drug use by Bush.
Sharon Bush is quoted in Kelley's forthcoming book about the Bush family as making one of the allegations, and Kelley's editor said in an interview Tuesday that she had provided "confirmation" for the information.
But Sharon Bush, who is divorced from the president's brother Neil, said in a statement: "I categorically deny that I ever told Kitty Kelley that George W. Bush used cocaine at Camp David or that I ever saw him use cocaine at Camp David. When Kitty Kelley raised drug use at Camp David, I responded by saying something along the lines of, 'Who would say such a thing?'
"Although there have been tensions between me and various members of the Bush family, I cannot allow this falsehood to go unchallenged."
Doubleday, Kelley's publisher, was quick to dispute her account.

Kelly's lie is like getting caught dragging a skunk accross the room. Somebody forces you to get rid of the skunk, but the stink still remains.

As the parent company to NBC, I hold GE responsible for the upcoming interview on the Today Show, of Kitty Kelly about her new book. The new book seeks to damage President Bush with allegations which have already been proven wrong. See "Sharom Bush Denies Kitty Kelly Account" by Howard Kurt in the Washington Post 09/09/04 page C01. It is my contention that NBC/Today is giving air time to a slanderous book at a time we are at war.
I currently have a GE refrigerator which I enjoy. But this will be the last GE product I allow in my home until I feel comfortable that I am not providing profit to a company acting in such an UnAmerican fashion. I will also ensure I never purcase any GE stock.

Are people like Kitty Kelley immune from law suits? Seriously. I'd like to know why someone doesn't sue her butt.
John O'neil, who wrote "Unfit for Command" and is a lawyer himself, said: "If I'm lying then why doesn't John Kerry get a lawyer and sue me?" So, it sounds to me like it CAN be done.
Propaganda can be overdone, and the MSM has pumped the well dry by running one long Bush-bashing campaign since the 2000 election.
After a certain point, people just tune it out as background noise, the overheated rhetoric of die-hard partisans, sound and fury signifying nothing.
The MSM, in its rage against Bush, has lost the discipline that made its propaganda so effective for so long.
It means the wimp is covering his hiney by being intentionally ambiguous. "I would not describe it as inaccurate" could mean just about anything you want it to mean.
Kitty, dear heart... put up or shut up
I believe Sharon Bush. And you would think Doubleday would double-check the facts before they allowed Kitty Kelley's tales full of trash to be published.
Good for Sharon. We don't need this crap during the campaign.

Celebrity crisis management is his game.
Good for Sharon?
What's good for Sharon is to keep those Bush checks coming in.
JOURNALISTS ARE LAZY
Ah. The Bush family must have gotten to her. < /sarcasm >
Guess that leaves it up to 60 Minutes for prime time viewing. Bah!
I'm wondering what extent of legal protection such high profile people as the Bush family have against slanderous s&*t like this KK book.
Never trust a woman who would crap on Frank Sinatra.
Kitty Kelley is to journalism what Larry Flynt is to track & field.
WHEN DID LARRY KING SAY THAT??? He's had her on with her other books!
If Sharon needs money, I smell a law suit coming.....maybe john edwards can help her.....
The MSM will never report that Kitty Kelley seems to suffer from delusions. They don't care that it isn't true. They spread rumors and will continue to do so until lots of people complain.
