But...but...but...he can't do that...he challenged the President not to go negative, and pledged that he wouldn't either. Could this be one more thing on which he flip-flops?
Blasting GWB for not giving inspectors enough time. Now the tired old refrain that we didn't plan how to win the peace after and GWB admitted he miscalculated the war. Said GWB didn't go in with enough allies therefore we are paying 90% of the bill for the war. Now complaining we spent $200 billion for Iraq and giving a litany of what we can't afford at home, i.e., after school programs, etc. Crowd applauds loudly.

"Bush ignored the advice of the US Military -- when he didn't like what he was hearing, he fired the Army Chief of Staff." Lie! His term expired, and Bush choose someone new, Happens ALL the time.
Tommy Franks supported the War, and he should know. What military opposed? Maybe Admiral Crowe, Stansfield Turner, and Gen Tony/Merril McPeak!

How can he say he'd have armed the soldiers with a straight face? He voted against giving them body armor.

"new direction"
Just that he and no one else knows what/were his "new direction" takes up. He's never said.
But he would have done "almost everything differently."
[Well, where do we go vote???? typed sarcastically]

Kerry would have given the weapons inspectors more time in Iraq. That's precisely what Saddam thought Bush would do ... major miscalculation.

Now he did the "It's not that I would have done just one thing differently; I would have done everything differently".
Actually cites makine sure the troops had equipment.
Actually cites his own experience in going to war.
Again with the "plan to win the peace".

Kerry:" I would given our troops the armor and weapons they needed."
Kerry's voting record shows otherwise.
To: Dog
He would have seen to the soldiers having all they needed..
He voted against it.

His smarminess is really on display this morning. Anyone notice how he smiles and nods his head when the crowd applauds as if he's saying....."thank you for noticing my supreme intelligence little people."
