Yes, this is the prevailing sentiment emerging in Russia.

They are angry at us and are lumping Americans, British, and EU-weenies all together as anti-Russian and as contributing to this debacle.

Reported only in the Russian press is that the terrorists were in possession of thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of American dollars.

The day after the Chechen elections held two weeks ago Tuesday, the American State Department issued a statement declaring the elections were "invalid".

This was just days after the Chechens had blown up two Russian airliners, a bus stop, and a metro station.

Way to go, State Department.

The Russians are angry at US!!

Rather than enlisting them in the War on Terror, we have alienated them further.

I expect that Russia will become more like Imperial Russia, Soviet in nature, while not Internationalist Communist in structure.

It will be almost impossible for them to look upon the West with anything but suspicion and contempt, especially after the unspeakable outrage in Beslan.

"They are angry at us" ..... I wonder why?

"Ilyas Akhmadov, one of Chechnya?s separatist leaders, has officially been granted asylum in the United States"
