THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

This is beyond belief.
Seeing the total depravity of what we are up against, is there any question we need a strong leader like Bush?

The problem is political, yes and it originates in the United Nations and One World Government supporters, one of whom is our President.

From the headline, I thought this was another story about Kerry's Senate testimony in 1971...

I don't know how correct you are in that statement, but I refuse to disagree with it until I have evidence to the contrary. Furthermore, I support your voice. I don't think it's too late for our president to change his mind, but it is too late for Kerry. Maybe this event will awaken a recognition in GW of how close we've come to the edge. We can still stop destroying ourselves before it's too late!

Absolutely not. Why would he blame his Muslim brothers?

All these virgins went voluntarily as "wives" after their husbands and children were killed? How many virgins have husbands and children?

We don't often agree on foreign policy but, when you are right, you are right. Bush should, as you say, go to Russia and meet with Putin to show American solidarity with Putin over these outrages.
Good post!

In any case -- the OT of the Bible says the Israelites were TOLD -- past tense -- to do that. It does not say we should do it NOW. THe Koran tells all good Muslimes to shun Jews and Christians and treat them like second class citizens. Does the Bible tell Christians to act that way towards others?

I think a good way to evangelize is to point those out to Muslims who are literate, so that they will know they are following a false religion..
You can't do that -- you would be executed in anyIslamic land for speaking about Christ. In the west they would still execute you for saying ANYTHING about their prophet -- even the truth, unless it follows the mullahs line of thinking

Did you read what I've said before?
Terrorists should not be taken to court-they should be interrogated and then executed on the spot.
But local authorities are to some degree responcible for the number of victims. I do not know is an interview with Aushev (ex-Ingush president, evacuated 26 children on Sept. 2 after negotiations with bandits) said that those local armed men had been ant obstacle for federal forces-untrained, but eager to help bravehearts are, unfortunately, somethig you do not need in situation like this. Stormtroops could not even get through them (actually up to 5000 people) to get into the school, when explosions blasted and bandits started methodically shoot hostages.

If God did say this then he does not deserve to be worshiped either. He said it. Being totally just and being the one that gave them life I sure He was just in His judgment.
I have had to give political leaders that sent our troop to war the benefit of the doubt that they maybe knew more than I.
I guess I can give the Creator of all the same benefit.I think I know why he had to take such drastic actions but I don't know for sure so I won't say.
This I do know I He won't force you to worship Him or believe in Him like mohammad or allah.
To: followerofchrist
For all I know, he could have been a Christian, but the differences culturally make too many of the men sexist pigs, which is why I pray their situation at home gets better because I do not want them here
So, you got an ethnic problem, not a religious problem -- go and live for some time in a slamic nation and then voice an opinion about how we can "all get along". I apologize for being vitriolic, but your points are non-qualified -- you have NOT read the Koran, you've NEVER lived in anIslamic land and you automatically assume every brown-skin to be a Mooslime -- when many Arab christians fled to the Americas and you'd probably mistake someoone fromt eh Indian contient or parts of the Mediterranean or the Caucasus as being slamic.

Yes, I've read every one of your posts on this thread (up to #833 so far.) It's taking a long time, because I keep having to leave the computer, and come back later.
I figured out a long time ago, you're supporting the terrorists. I didn't base this conclusion any one post in particular, but I haven't seen a single post of yours that would refute that conclusion.
If you thought you could come walzing in here and convert us to your way of thinking, you were wrong. We know the truth, and could not revert to ignorance if we tried. Why don't you sit back and read what others are saying? You started out with an opinion, and have tried to create "facts" to support that opinion. If you'd start by learning the facts, your opinion would be very different. You won't do that, because you have a death grip on your ill conceived opinion, and cannot afford to admit you've been wrong all along.

I've read the Koran. Not my kind of reading, but not more blood-lusty than many of Iudean or even Christian books, especial those dating back to Medievals.
You talking about Jewish/Christian Medieval books? They're NOT part of the Bible. The Koran is the Holy book of the muslimes. IT's also the book that has plagiarised the most -- copying and distorting whole tracts from the Bible, Jewish texts, Arian texts, the Ahura Mazda etc. It is blood-lusty as you say

Buy the way, they both had the same author.

And use drugs like heroin which is also absolutely illegal for Muslim.
Strange when you consider that Afghanistan's number one crop is heroin and that all of Yemen gets doped on Qwatch.
