I don't want to be thought of as the splash of cold water on the success of the GOP Convention so far. It think it's going great and Kerry is lookinga little battered right now.
However, he is far from dead. This race is far from over. Kerry has a Rasputin-like ability to come back from the dead. We all need to realize this.
With that in mind, click on the link to yesterday's commentary on RealClearPolitics.com.
Opinions anyone?

Exactly, and thank God for Fox(as much as it does),Free Republic, and others for providing sources of fact and truth,or at least another view of things. I'm so glad about Fox's ratings last night, the MSM can spin all they want but they can't stop people from getting the truth, and people are at least for this convention seeking it.So all the spin of the MSM is for naught, when such numbers of people are watching Fox and going to other sources.
He looks dead to me.
and anyone has the nerve to ask HOW and WHY we were attacked on September 11th? With this kind of thinking it is a miracle we are all alive.
This reminds me of the the vaunted reputation AlGore had as a debater. What a load of BS. He got his clock cleaned by Dan Quayle and W. The only ones he beat nationally were Bill Bradley (yawn) and poor Admiral Stockdale.
This is all media wishin' and hopin'.
Because Hillary can't get away from her Secret Service detail for long enough to do the deed.
" He hasn't been in a real tough campaign in his life. Why do you suppose he decided to run up here in Massachusetts as a Liberal? Because it was eeeeeeasy. He's in a dogfight now and his opponent is starting to salivate as he zeroes in on Kerry's jugular."
In addition,Kerry has always had the media covering for him.
He has never run in the age of new media.
Campaigning in small state of Mass , where he probably slept in his own bed every night, is a lot different than the long, tiring endurance race we are going to see the next two months.
Kerry is a lazy and self indulgent- I don't think the guy has ever broken a sweat or gotten dirt under his fingernails.
He's always been a pampered poodle.
When the going gets tough, Kerry has the servants do the dirty work.
Despite how pathetic Kerry is, we can't let down our guard and must remain with our shoulders to the wheel the next two months.
Did he explain or elaborate at all?
I'm not MplsSteve but I will give you one reason.
Voter fraud by the democrats.
When it comes to lying and stealing, including vote, the democrats have no peer.
But before he's always managed to pull it off in Massachusetts, or this go, in the Dem primary.
Can he pull it off when having to deal with all of America?
ROTFLMAOPIMP
Jeez I love McAuliff! The man's been an unmitigated disaster for the Dems since day one and they refuse to ditch him, bless their misguided hearts.
Responding today to Zell Miller's carpet bombing last night, McAuliff said that Zell's "just trying to sell books"...That was his reponse to Zell total and systematic disasemmbly of the Dem's basis to be elected... Way to go Terry, that'll wipe Millers stemturner from the American public's consciousness. ROFL!
It's GWB. A real badass.
This is Rove. Fresh meat gets him going.
These are the Swifties. Loyal, keying on the Leader of the pack, alert for any threat.
And last but not least....this is Dick Cheney. A quiet, cool cunning and confidence. Always dangerous. The one you do not mess with.
So true and for the same reason it was just DUMB for the left to call Bush dead last month.... thing can turn on a dime so keep fighting and pile it on till the clock runs out... time wise..we have got a long way to go
almost - either in MA, or in the democrat primary, when he had to run to please a bunch of liberals. Also, he ran with a overwhelmingly positive press and not much opposition from the New Media.
Kerry isn't toast, yet. But the toaster is warming up as we speak.
Remember November 1, 2000. Bush led in the polls by a sliver, and then the DUI was revealed. The rest is American (and Floridian) history.
You make a good point. They make like the race with Bill Weld was something he really came back to win. But he was a liberal in a liberal state!
I think we need to keep the pressure on. Its is clear that is is doing serious damage.
Zell Miller was incredible!!!!!!!!!!! The spitball comment was as good as I ever heard!!!!!!
Go W !!!!
Thanks! I agree that cockiness can lead to a surprise disater at the polls. The RATs may now consider Kerry an underdog and a lot of women feel sorry for such creatures. Get out the Pubbie vote big time and never think we have won until we have!!
I do not see any letup by the Republicans against JFK. He could still crawl over and bite you. You just keep hammering away until his eyes get the glaze. Not there yet. A win is a win but its very satisfying to squish them in the process. But do it aboveboard(remember Watergate? Nixon wanted all 50 states at all costs)
I'm tired of this 'Kerry is a closer'label.Dean imploded in Iowa,it had nothing to do with Kerry. In Massachusetts the only reason he beat Bill Weld was because he violated the candidates' agreement to a $500,000 limit on personal funds used, pouring $1.7 million of his own (Theresa's)money into the race during its final weeks. In the first case it was an optical illusion,in the later he flat out cheated.
